About AppDrawer (MIUI App Drawer)

NOTICE:
AppDrawer is now Open Source!
https://github.com/JakedUp/AppDrawer
http://blog.jakedup.com/appdrawer-is-now-open-source/

AppDrawer is a highly customizable app drawer replacement. You can use it as an alternative to your launcher's default app drawer, or to add functionality to launchers that don't currently support the app drawer (like MIUI for example).

You can use with pretty much any launcher, including: your phone's default launcher, Go Launcher, ADW Launcher, LauncherPro, Apex Launcher, Nova Launcher, Launcher 7, MIUI Launcher, and more!

There are similar offerings out there, such as Faster Drawer -- or Organized Drawer -- or even Folder Organizer, but nothing comes close to offering the level of personalization that AppDrawer provides. With AppDrawer, you can literally flesh out hundreds of unique designs and layouts using all the different options to your disposal. Some of those options include...

NOTED ISSUES:
[•] AppDrawer may be slow to open on certain phone/ROM/launcher combinations. We are working on incorporating a permanent fix, but until then, those who have ROOT ACCESS can manually resolve this issue by moving the AppDrawer APK to /system/apps/ and reboot -- You can do this manually with file explorer apps like Root Explorer or automatically with Titanium Backup's "Convert To System App" function. Contact us at Support@JakedUp.com if you are unsure.

[•] The "Multi-Select" --> "Select All" option in List or Paged view modes will force close. We are also working on a fix. Until then, manually check the apps that you want to edit.

What are users saying about AppDrawer (MIUI App Drawer)

How about a "keep in memory" option that way task killers or automatic RAM management doesn't kill the app? It looks silly when it is killed and reopened, loads up like a normal app and for a brief second you can see the stock Android background. Hopefully my suggestion will allow it to always be readily active to prevent this?

Could never get to the setup menu to customize it. It just stayed on the giant sizes font look all the time. Am totally bummed!

P70%

Horrible. Text is so big only a few characters can be seen. No options to configure. Does not replace stock app drawer on Samsung Galaxy s7 edge

S70%

What is this? All it do is make my apps look like a list. I can do that on my own phone. Lame

Create shortcut feature doesn't work. MIUI Global 8.5.3.0. Huge menu font - minor irritation. Everything else is fine.

C70%
by C####:

Don't try to hide apps, make a modified app drawer & I can make the regular drawer shortcut if I ever want to get to them ...a great solution !!!

T70%
by T####:

Looks like it would work well, except that the font text is too huge to be useful. Even a LOT bigger than the preview above. S5.

Q70%
by Q####:

I want to view apps that I have previously hidden, so I can restore them in the app drawer. The app tells me there are no hidden apps... While I know that there are at least two dozen. A week ago, I could only view half of my hidden apps - the first half alphabetically. Please fix this issue, the app was working perfectly before!

Q70%
by Q####:

Please add a "long tap for settings" option for phones that no longer have the "menu" button on the back bar. I can't access the settings page to change anything at all...its just a list of all my apps in extra large letters. Love the app, don't get me wrong but please add some kind of feature.

Q70%
by Q####:

Missing is "custom order" in sort and there isn't a way to send apps to home screens by either dragging them there or in the menu when you hold down on the app. There are a few bugs, like when you hold down on the app to get in its menu it also launches and you have to back out of the launch to then get in its menu, sometimes crashes unexpectantly and there's lag when you first click the app. Sort those things out and it will be a 5 star app. It is essential for anybody using a MI launcher on their phone.

This app is very user friendly but the user has to do some hard work to customize the app for his/her own preferences. In case any problem open settings by holding the tray button and make changes what you want.

Is a great app but it can't let me custom organize my app, which is annoying. Also there is a problem with the manage app all I can see is the app icon ,no words is visible. Hope you can fix it.

Z70%
by Z####:

Maybe I'm a complete moron, but I couldn't find any way to access the settings menu! I had to temporarily add a menu button to my navbar with Cyanogen mod just to get to it. Is there some icon or gesture that I'm just too thick to notice, or is this only designed for phones with menu buttons? Sure it worked fine once I figured out how to get into the menu, but I shouldn't have to manually add a deprecated feature to my phone just to use your app.

Best application but pls improve RAM & Battery consumption. Battery drains at pretty high rate. Fix it and 5 stars confirmed.

Q70%
by Q####:

A small-footprint launcher low on resources(as it should always be for a mobile-app).Apart from complete icon-change,my immediate concern is that it needs an option in settings to hide labels for a more compact look.Would then consider giving it 5star-rating.

Please make icon more cool & smaller looking....

I expected less from this app but so far, it's working pretty well. It's the only app drawer app that will let me list my apps simply in a list. It does have some bugs when trying to hide apps and then bring them back, so I just gave up on that. It's pretty touch responsive when opening an app, a little less so when uninstalling but I've figure it out. It's you're looking for an app drawer that will list your apps in a vertical format, then this will work for you.

Can you change font settings on this? The letters are huge. If so i just want to know how you do it so i can give better rating

What is this? Huge fonts in a scroll list, someone please tell them what an app drawer is. I will never use this.

Beautiful app full HD icons.one thing I notice is little lag while scrolling in horizontal page please make fluid scrolling I'm using letv 1s.

Doesn't work on LG G3. Just humongous lettering and no menus or way to change settings.

The App gets killed every time by RAM Management... please add that Feature.

Good idea.Add option of continuous scroll. It keeps me awaited when I open it.

Doesn't let you change icons of any apps or a single app, also custom arrangement of the apps is not available. Also change the icon. This one is not aesthetically pleasing.. And it loads up like a normal app, if you could provide a subtle load that'd be great.

Only had this app for a day but so far I'm loving it. I've been searching for a way to change my app drawer icons and this is the closest I've gotting. I've totally replaced my app drawer with this and so far so good. I really don't understand why this app has such a low rating!

U70%
by U####:

Works wonderfully with Action Launcher. Was missing a true simple grid view app drawer and this does the trick. So far no concerns with resources, either. Highly customizable in terms of font and icon size (don't let the giant default settings throw you). No ads, no nagging. Good stuff. As others have said, a keep in memory option would help with lag, but otherwise nice and simple.

U70%
by U####:

Lost a few shortcuts and was having trouble reinstalling but this app just put them back in 2 seconds flat. Nice app! Welldone!

U70%
by U####:

all prior icons that were customized change to last app/icon that was customized... i.e. just customized airdroid, prior to this I customized 2 other icons. I now have three apps assigned the airdroid icon

Needs an option to pin some apps that will stay on top. It could also use more categorization options.
