Those people who are having problem with the shutting down when phone is off are not thinking. The problem isn't the app it's just that u have to increase the amount of time which your phone turns off after.

nice tons of options and settings it's an amazing app and I'm a huge fan of it all except can't use phone other than that outstanding. so, if your in academics and use the phone calculator for stats etc.. your boned. HOWEVER; it's great for concentration, trying to sleep, it aided me 1000 times fold when in college courses and hard times falling asleep. So carry a calculator or use the one on the laptop.

Gets stuck on loading screen

You can't use other apps (like an ebook app) while listening to this app. Seems pretty pointless.

So far, I'm in love with it! I would love to be able to back out of the app though and have it continue playing in the background like Pandora. Other than that, it's awesome!

The website it amazing, and the app's pretty great, but I use this app to sleep and it just shuts off after a few minutes. Could you possibly make it stay on when I: A go to other apps and: B shut off my screen?

I love it! It helps me keep my anxiety in check!

This only plays sounds in 10 second increments. Kind of sucks if there's music that plays for a few minutes. Also cuts off sounds.

I wish this app could run in the background and when my phone is locked. It also crashes whenever I try to search.

I'm rating this 4 stars for one reason, and one reason only. You can't play it in the background and look at other apps or on lockscreen! If this is fixed, I will rate 5 stars. Thank you!

It just keep saying Internet connection error and I just can't open it

I really like this idea, but it saves loads of stuff to my phone which is extremely annoying, also it would be nice to be able to go onto other apps without the music stopping, love tue range of tracks

It's pretty good but it can be better, for one it should work with a locked screen. And the app needs a make over, the main icon is not attractive enough it does not draw attention to the fact that it has fantasy and movie themed ambience such as Harry potter and doctor who. This is one of the app's special feature yet I can't tell by looking at it. I'm sure the app can draw in more downloads by improving on these 2 things

The noises are great, but it's kind of pointless to have a noise app that shuts down as soon as my screen locks. I use noise apps to help me sleep, but I can't use it for that when it shuts off after five minutes

I'd love to use this all the time, but without the ability to run in the background or with the screen shut off, it's basically useless to me. I'd also appreciate the ability to make new ambiances, at least while on wi-fi so I don't use excess data.

As a lot of other users have already mentioned, the main problem is that this app won't play in the background. If this was available, the app would be so useful for studying, reading, sleeping, etc. As it is, it's a cute novelty item but nothing more.

While the idea is cool, and some of the ambiences are quite good, the noise immediately stops upon locking screen, switching to other apps, etc. That is not okay for any app, let alone one that specializes in noises. Because it lacks such a basic feature, along with having a terrible interface, I refuse to use this app.

I really would love this app IF it would stay on while your phone is locked. I love listening to rain or what sounds like a library while I'm sleeping or writing but it's impossible with this app. You can download sounds to your music player but it will only do one clip at a time and not overlap like the player on the app.

As everyone else, I love the website, not the app. The fact that we can't turn the screen off without pausing the sound is so annoying... It drains the battery so fast, even if the screen goes black, it doesn't shut off... The fact that you can't leave the app and use another one is pretty deceiving too, as a lot of people read on there phones now. I would love to have a decent app, even if I have to pay monthly for the service... Pleaaaase hear us and at least allow the screen to shut off <3

It's an okay app, but could stand some improvements. Most apps, even the non-paid or "lite" versions, as it were, have the ability to tab out or lock the screen and still have the sounds continue to play in the background. This app, while it has plenty of mixes to listen to, lacks this crucial feature. The app would easily be worthy of four or five stars if this one key issue would be fixed. Please do something about this, Ambient Mixer!

Love the site. The app however has some shortcomings as a freebie. Mostly, not playing with the screen dark (aka the phone is locked) and letting you use other apps on the phone, or even close it for background like alarms and other players.

The app is fabulous.... but a few stuff can be improved. For example, the audio stops if screen is locked or using another app... please change this... love it though..

Would be good, but it doesn't allow the sounds the play in the background. As soon as you open another app it turns off. Would have bought the paid - for version, but won't be until it can at least do that.

Pros: allows you to play ambiences from almost every fandom/nerdom and beyond. Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star wars, several anime series, Percy Jackson series, etc . Super fun to listen to the different mixes. Cons: definitely has some bugs to work out. Doesn't always open if you go to another app and come back, etc. But I love it so far.

After seeing how astonishing the website is, I was very excited to learn that there's also an app. Sadly, this app is about as poorly designed as any app could be. You can't use other apps while the audio plays in the background, can't run it with the screen off, so what's the point.

I WANT TO love this app, I truly, truly do but I can't. It's horribly buggy and slow and should you stray to another app (which stops noise, btw) and try to come back? Well, adios - it goes completely black. Love the sounds, though. LOVE. (Note4)

1. It needs to keep switching from portrait to landscape. Sounds selection screen is only portrait, when a mix loads, its landscape only. 2.Text too large on sound channels, mostly one cannot read the descriptive labels at all. 3. Takes a long time to load mixes, looks like it hangs on "loading channel 3" etc with no spinning cog to show its still working. 4. Others say it stops when you go to another app. For me it does continue to play (unless I go to another app that wants audio focus (like youtube), which I think is an Android issue).

I haven't been able to use this app because it keeps crashing. I love the website, but this app is terrible.

Listening right now. Wonderful! Please add/correct this app feature!!! : 1) After a short while the screen goes black, which is good, 2) but the backlight and buttons stay lit, which is bad. 1A) Please code this to run in background/while "asleep" (using system timers) 2A) rather than making the display work harder by showing all black pixels as it appears it does now. Prefer to use yours than clone it (personal use only of course...) Otherwise my devices become tiny electric heaters. Thanks!

But the screen flashes rapidly while its loading and when adjusting volume levels. Sometimes it just stays black.

The sounds are great, just like on the website, but it won't play in the background or with the screen off? That's not ambient sound at all :( I'm very disappointed.

The only thing holding it back is not being able to listen, back out and open other apps. Otherwise great app.

Fix it so it plays in the background otherwise what use is it? Also loading is extremely slow. Fix this too please.

I Never got to listen to any sounds, the app crashed every time I tried to load anything.

I like the page a lot but this app crashes literally every time I try to use it.
