Dear Mr. Marshall. This is a good app that drive a great amp and I love it. I would suggest to add one tab to show all these functionality in pedal view, to allow user to switch between one stored setting to another in no time. Would like to see also button to switch individual effect on and off in a pedal view also. Just as if i have multi effect with 8 or more buttons in front of me. That will be 5 stars.

Better. Still glitchy. Trouble connected here and there. I find if the amp is turn on first. Then make sure amp connects to Bluetooth on device (phone). Then open app. Works best for connecting. Keep at it. I love the layout and amp. When working it's great but has freezer a few times. Should be able to edit and move around presets in library to personalize better. You can but not easy. Moving a preset to a designated number should be easier. Update...runs great !

Good concept worked fine with the older version but it has gotten worse after upgrade. Playback option not working. Cant load or play tracks now with which i could play guitar earlier. Please sort it or tell me how i get to the previous version.

Just got a Code 50 for Christmas. I can play music via Bluetooth from my phone directly, but the gateway app cannot find the amp. When I press "search for amps" nothing happens. I have updated the amps firmware but it still does not work. Also tried to use my ipod but the app won't even open.

My Code 25 amp connects immediately to my phone via Bluetooth but once in the app, it doesn't detect my amp and doesn't find it when I scan for it but some of my other devices I have zero problems with.

Even after uninstalling the Marshall Gateway app, deleting the Bluetooth profile of the amp from my phone, restarting the amp and my phone, pairing my phone with the amp, & reinstalling the Gateway app, the app still cannot see the amp! I paid more attention to the message that pops up on the phone after I pair with the amp and the message will give a 6 digit passkey and basically states that the amp needs to have this passkey. Well the only option on the phone is to tap OK & there is no prompt on the amp or anywhere to enter the passkey the phone provided, but the blue light on the exit/store button stays continuously blue and the phone shows the amp as being paired. I tried my Nexus Android tablet and after popping up with two or three passkey messages in a row it finally paired and stayed paired with the amp, but when I went to download and install the Gateway app from the Google Play store I couldn't do so because a message saying the app wasn't compatible with my device was shown. WOW!... is all I can say. I really did expect more from the Marshall brand.

I had no problems with this app. As long as I start the app before I turn on the amp, everything syncs. I record my rhythm track with my Samsung 5 and then load it in Playback and play lead along with it. Anyone who doesn't have a CODE amp is missing out! My favorite is More than a Feeling using preset 34 American Clean Chorus.

Just got my Code 50 yesterday and wasted hours just trying to get this app to find the amp. It can't. It will connect via Bluetooth so I can play music through the amp but Gateway won't find the amp to let me use the edit functions! Latest firmware installed via USB. This is a joke.

Having to sync amp presets every use is a pain but is quickly worked around by scrolling through all presets using the amp dial. Saving presets to phone causes duplication, even step by step save to amp then phone messed up occasionally. App issues aside, the code 50 low "growl/fart" noise was too much to ignore in the end, not a great first impression Marshall. Appears to me like amps either do 1 thing amazingly well or loads of things kind of ok, which is a shame because these are great in theory.

I use this app on a Marshall Code 25. It works great, and is an awesome companion to an already awesome amp. It has full functionality over the amp, which is very useful. A switch to the Marshall Code series will be one that will not be regretted.

What is that... I m not able to use playback. With this app. Whenever i load the track the app crash. And not able to save the library.. What is that... Without this the amp. Is just a amp..

Love Marshall love the code 50 love the gateway app concept. But marshall need to get there head out of there butt and sort the app out before someone else does come up with something better. I try to connect via Bluetooth on two different devices and sometimes get it to connect others not, I have to go to settings remove device research and pair then open app and try to connect. Marshall you have a great product stop telling me you know you have issues and fix it or get someone who can! If it can't be fixed I'll return the amp to supplier and stick to my Blackstar TVP amp which is also great

Great idea but needs much improvement. Patches created by user disappear after closing app and reopening. Saving process was followed through and yet a one patch created is gone and name given to that patch is repeated 99 times

Y70%
by Y####:

I spend a lot of time setting up my presets, but when I close the app and reopen it later, only the first setting will load. It won't even let me edit other presets anymore. I even tried reinstalling. There are also major issues with getting the Bluetooth to connect.

Y70%
by Y####:

Every time I edit and save a patch from my cellphone the app changes all settings back to the original. It also force closes a lot. It will freeze and lose my amp randomly. Now it's duplicating patches that don't work. You click them and nothing loads just 15 duplicates of a patch that doesn't work!

Still playin around trying to see the benefits of using the phone with the Amp. Kinda slow. The Amp rocks full out, the app I am finding works nice to save and load your tweak. We will see.

Y70%
by Y####:

I spend more time trying to solve app problems than playing guitar. If you try to save a preset, the App Will stop function properly!!

Y70%
by Y####:

when will you guys add in a feature to backup all presets? I've made so many that I can't imagine something happening and I lose them. you never know with electronics nowadays, the amp could mess up and require a reboot but I wouldn't have any of my presets backed up!

Y70%
by Y####:

On a Note 5 and a Code 50 I can connect to the amp through the phones bluetooth menu, but the app has never been able to find and connect to the amp. It connects for media audio and I can stream music to the amp via bluetooth, but that's it. Have spent way too much time looking for a solution. Pretty disappointed.

Y70%
by Y####:

Almost perfect except it lost half the phones local presets last night. Had to reinstall to get them back. Takes a while to update amp presets. Would be nice to have a sync all button. Other wise its easy to use and much more convenient than physical knobs and button combos.

The new version is back working on my moto e g2. Some screens seem a bit slower and sadly still don't work on my tab 2 updated to jellybean (4.2.2)

It's working. There's quite a few things to fix still, but it's an early version. Im rating 4 stars because it will improve over time, no doubt.

Can't get the app to playback mp3 tracks. Once I tap the load track window on the playback screen the screen changes to blank white window with ok and cancel at the bottom.

I have the same issues with my presets duplicating and not working while in gateway mode. Quite frustrating.

Y70%

Probably the phone, a Samsung galaxy s4. It shouldn't crash everytime, I didn't even get to use it once. ha

Y70%

Marshall is trying yo catch up with the new era of amplifiers but shot themselves in the foot with this junk app. Needs scrapped and rebuilt from scratch.

Y70%
by Y####:

this set-up is what"s next in sound modeling - you would need a stage full of equipment to make the combinations here - start with 99 presets and one will be very close to the sound your trying to get then tweak it to your exact taste - it almost doesn't even matter what pickups or guitar you use because you can dial it an to any sound - this kind of flexability is industry leading - scott

Y70%

The amp connects with bluetooth, but the app won't find the amp. Get it together, marshall.

Having problems connecting via blue tooth, when it does connect i have to re sync all presets and library. Loosing presets i have created. Getting very frustrated with the app, i now wish i bought a diferent marshall amp instead of the code.
