About RED ALERT ???? Emergency strobe light (Unreleased)
RED ALERT is an Emergency Tactical Strobe Light app, for creating a distraction to help you evade or neutralize a threat to yourself or others.
Thanks everyone for the feedback so far. As some of you reported the LED Flash didn't work, it would be good to know if you granted the app access to the Camera when asked - the app needs access to the Camera in order to access the LED Flash (it will only need to ask once). This is also why you'll want to test the app soon as you download it.
You can also test if the LED Flash will work on your device with this free app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.spikything.flashlight
This app is intended for self-defense purposes only! It must not be used for any other purpose since it can induce photosensitive seizures and trigger epileptic fits in some individuals. That is why equipment using a similar frequency flash lights are sold online for tactical purposes. However, we only advocate this app's use where you feel threatened and cannot escape or talk you way out of the situation, as a personal attack alarm and to momentarily disorient someone who threatens you or those around you.
Though this is not a replacement for carrying a weapon, in many countries (the UK, for example), it is illegal to carry an offensive weapon - even for personal protection. If, while using your phone, you sense someone is following you or about to invade your personal space, this might be the only tool available. There are various videos available online on how to use this kind of Tactical Strobe Light to distract or disorient an attacker in the case of personal attack, or terrorist activity. We hope you never need this app, but it's better to be prepared than sorry.
You should test that the app works first - but do so at home, so you avoid creating potentially dangerous distractions, such as distracting people driving, etc.
Stay safe out there and never put yourself or others in danger.
