About Eclipse 2017 Pathfinder

The app shows the map of the eclipse path relative to your position, pointing you to the closest spot in the central line of full totality, based on the official numerical tables provided by the NASA.

This app:
- Is totally FREE
- No even ads
- Also works offline: it will point you in the direction of the central line of the eclipse even if you do not have any connection
- Also works without GPS: in this case it will just display the map of the path of totality, and you can still figure out where you should go
- Countdown to the start of totality (at your time zone)
- Provides additional information on the circumstances at the chosen sight point: time of start and end of totality (at local time zone), duration, direction of the sun, path width

Enjoy!

What are users saying about Eclipse 2017 Pathfinder

by X####:

Works well, but would be better if it showed distance to the nearest edge of the zone of totality. It only shows distance to the centerline of the zone.

by X####:

It doesn't do enough to justify the storage space. Just use the internet. (But I can't even get it to do what it's advertised to do.)

X70%
by X####:

Won't pick up my location, even when outside. Doesn't work.

O70%

Location of where I am does not work

F70%

Works great and is helping plan a good spot to be in.

It does what it says: apparently the only free app around that points you to the best spot to get the full totality - with an interactive map, and no ads. I have compared the eclipse coordinates with the official ones and they indeed match perfectly.
