Despite most reviews on here, I and everyone around me hooked up to the content easily and could play everything with no problem at all. Content selection was perfectly acceptable. Minus one star for the fact no power is available at the seat. A USB port should be provided if airline is saving bucketloads in not fitting screens.

Can connect to the in-flight wifi and see the list of movies and series through the app, but playback crashes after a minute or too. I guess watching the advertisement that preceded the film over and over and getting to look at a list of movies that don't work is better than nothing...

Although this is an excellent idea but there are major issues with software. 1. While playing music I expect to be able to get around my mobile and read my messages and check other stuff but as soon as you open any other app, playing music stops and you have to go through all steps again!! So annoyin! 2. Also it is expected to hear cabin messages from your headset. but for every single time it just stops music or movie and you have to take the earpods off to hear what's going on. Designers of the software must have a bit of common sense.

I have an ASUS ZenFone 3 and this app never works. Does not even open, which leaves me without any entertainment options on Qantas flights that require the app. Poor job on Qantas' part. If Qantas is going to require this for entertainment then the app needs to work on all phones and tablets. As it is, Qantas is marginalising those without the ability to use the app.

I was a bit unsure on the app after reading all the negative feedback...but on my flight from Melb to Bne I watched the pilot episode of Lethal Weapon with ease. I guess from most of the feedback that these people didn't have the latest update done. Great work Qantas...Fantastic app!! 10*

by G####:

I too, like so many others was able to load the app, but playback of movies resulted in a "DRM Error" appearing rendering the app useless. Same happened to my daughter. Very disappointed. Just go back to screens in the back of the seat and you will fix this problem Qantas.

S70%
by S####:

Excellent work testing your app, Qantas. It flat out doesn't play content on a Google LG Nexus 5x with latest firmware / updates but my mate's iPad worked fine. I genuinely expected more but am disappointed.

DRM error. Have a look at the overall app rating Qantas. Is this aligned with your customer satisfaction goals? I have been a long suffering frequent flyer who has put up with not being able to use this app for far too long now. FIX IT!!!!!

B70%
by B####:

Fabulous app.. has worked perfectly on my S6 on a variety of flights. Not the most spectacular choices but I was always able to find something to while away the hours. Larger choices than the seat back screens.

S70%
by S####:

Able to browse content but could not watch anything due to DRM error. Kinda makes the app useless. Glad I had my own media available (thanks Plex!)

S70%
by S####:

Not that great. Also I wanted to download the app on my laptop but it will not allow me because I already have it downloaded on my mobile phone.

H70%
by H####:

This worked really well until my last flight. I paused a movie and could not resume viewing because there was not enough flight time remaining. Even though there was 90 minutes flying time left, everything I clicked on (even 21 minute TV episodes) returned an error of Content not available. I rebooted my tablet but still nothing. I could however stream through my phone. Kind of annoying and the crew had no idea how to fix it.

S70%
by S####:

Opens up but no content is displayed. Considering how much money Qantas saves by not installing individual TV screens and making the customers use their own devices, you think it would use a half decent app for displaying content. Big let down

S70%
by S####:

Does not work, experienced DRM issues ad many of others have. Web browser version also should be supported instead of being locked. I have also found a good use for the (folded) sick bag finally.. To make a strap to hang my device on back of seat. Qantas, perhaps provide a mounting solution for!those without flip cases? #addingvalue Additionally perhaps make app available via WiFi for those that forget to download before take off? Apks are easy to install for most android users.

Drm error! As a platinum member of virgin giving qantas a go was a big deal.....fail! Never jad an issue with virgin app or service.. back to virgin i go

S70%
by S####:

Just worked for me on our 3 Android devices - Samsung Tab S, Nexus 5X and Moto G (3rd gen). Only minor quibble is that on a 10 inch screen the movies are a bit more pixelated than I'm used to when watching Netflix or YouTube.

S70%
by S####:

After installing and get it set up I can see movies and other stuff yet when I try to play it says DRM issues. O well. Free head phones.

S70%
by S####:

Terrible, crashes on most android devices, nexus 6p and galaxy s8+ among them. Or drm errors. Old content when it finally does work.

S70%
by S####:

DRM error like most others reporting here. Rest of family used apple products without a problem.

V70%
by V####:

Frustrating. Can play radio, not video. So close and yet so far

S70%
by S####:

Crashes on a Pixel. Not much hope for Qantas if they can't get it to work on a generic Android phone...

S70%
by S####:

Putrid! Keeps crashing and when it does work the content available is ordinary at best. Qantas should be able to do better than this app. There is a lack of clear direction with this app. Avoid and save some bandwidth.

S70%
by S####:

Same as all the the others - DRM error. How pathetic! Provide screens or make this app work. Very unhappy customer.

A70%
by A####:

Instructions are confusing, if i turn on airplane mode it turns off wireless and i can't connect to Qantas streaming. Otherwise it works great

S70%
by S####:

Did not work for me. Initially could not connect due to airplane mode turning off wifi. When I did connect there is no content displayed due to weak connection. Try harder Qantas. Edit: tried again, without trying anything new and it mysteriously worked. Content seems OK. Adds before movies are annoying. They devalue the experience.

S70%
by S####:

It wouldnt work during flight. Even the qantas staff couldnt get it working.kept putting up a note saying DRM error with a black screen

S70%
by S####:

App is great, easy to navigate and works for me (on Samsung Galaxy Note 5) but I would like if there was a usb charging port on the back of the chair as having wi-fi on and playing movies tends to drain the battery so I have to carry a portable charger. Also some seasons of shows only have 2 episodes. It would be good to have a few more.

S70%
by S####:

Doesn't work, nothing happens at all on my phone and tablet comes up with DRM error. Useless.

S70%
by S####:

App connects, nothing plays. DRM issues. You can't just make an app and then forget about it, update it in line with android releases. With all the money you make fleecing regional Australia, I'm sure you can maintain it. Pixel, latest nougat.

Y70%
by Y####:

Not a bad idea but perhaps add usb chargers to flights so we don't drain our batteries before we get off the flight!

P70%
by P####:

Does not work. Comes up with an error message when loading any of the content - saying there is a DRM issue.

T70%
by T####:

Thank you Qantas - it's working again on my Nexus devices. This app worked fine at first, but then there were months when it didn't. Now I'd like a USB connection so I can keep my device charged on the longer domestic routes.

F70%
by F####:

Its ok when it works, but keep receiving DRM issues and cant get it working on my tablet

S70%
by S####:

Can't open the app on my Note 5. Uninstalled and re-installed. Still doesn't work.

D70%
by D####:

Appalling. Difficult to download, install and use, and will not play what little content is available because of DRM issues. And STILL no windows version.

Y70%
by Y####:

When I tried to play a TV show on two separate flights it came up with a DRM error. Asked my brother about it and he said its a database error on Qantas' end. Please fix this.

S70%
by S####:

Really nice sitting on a short internal flight and being able to watch some new film releases for free, but there is slot of rubbish as well, only problem the app crashes so much really frustrating when your mid film!

X70%
by X####:

The app opens but every video category says 'this device not supported' and ' DRM error'... I didn't think Qantas was following I the footsteps of Foxtel... Luckily I filled my SD card with music and movies before my return flight.

Q70%
by Q####:

Crashes every time I get a few minutes into the content and restarts my device. Latest software installed. Go back to iPads or seatback screens.

Q70%
by Q####:

Only used it once but every show or movie came up with a coding error.
