FAQ:
Q: What is LogiClock?
A: LogiClock is an app for the dreamers. Are you ready to move on to a time system that isn't outdated and boring? Try a metric clock.

Q: What is metric time?
A: The metric system reigns supreme when it comes to weight, distance, temperature and countless other measurements. Why should time miss out? Metric time (or decimal time) is an attempt at correcting that injustice.

Q: How does it work?
A: On a metric clock we have 10 hours in a day, 100 minutes in an hour and 100 seconds in a minute. Simple as that.

Tell me more!
Off the top of your head, how many minutes are there in a day? What about a week? There are good reasons the metric system has become standard and it doesn't make sense for us to overlook them when it comes to time. The French tried it 200 years ago when they gave us French Revolutionary Time, but change has never been one of society's strengths and the idea went nowhere. It's time we gave it another try.

The idea is easy enough. We take one revolution of the earth and call that one day, just like we do now. We split that into ten 'hours'. Hours divide further into 100 minutes, minutes into 100 seconds, seconds into 100 milliseconds and so on. Going back to the original question, that makes 10 * 100 = 1000 minutes in a day, and 1000 * 7 = 7000 minutes in a week. Ask any engineer, that's the sort of simplicity we can often only dream about.

Sounds good. What now?
Try the app. Next time you make 2-minute noodles, use 1.38 metric minutes. Instead of waking up at 6am, wake up at 2:50 with a metric clock. The app makes switching easy. Why not give it a go? Why not help to push the human race forward just that little bit?

What are users saying about LogiClock - Metric Time

A great widget, accurate time, and an alarm that can be set in either metric or standard time. Wonderful! The only thing that would make it better would be being able to select songs from my music library as the alarm sound-currently, only ringtones can be selected for a bit of variety. That is a minor issue, though. Five stars!

Q70%
by Q####:

I only wish there was a (few) digital readout widget(s). The size and lack of precision with analog clock faces is troublesome.

Q70%
by Q####:

Needs 2 features to make it great. Choose your own music for the alarn, and the ability to make the clock your lock screen background.

I70%
by I####:

But the widget keeps resetting to default theme. Fix and I'll give a 5.

Love it.. Sadly widget does not show seconds

I have tried other. Metric clocks. And this. Is the best.

Nice app. Is that the Galactic Empire logo?

Q70%
by Q####:

Very good. It could use some improvements, though. I've seen only one bug: The home screen widget periodically changes its style from the one I chose back to the default. Other features I'd like: When "milliseconds" are enabled, include them in the digital time. Allow larger home screen widget. Let the widget also show "second" and "millisecond" hands and in the digital time. Change "10" to "0". Make style flexible, with choices for colors, numbers, hands, backgrounds, etc.

This is fun! Looks great, works just fine.

N70%

It only needs a screen saver now!

U70%

the widget clock keeps changing from the one I already setup to use. Pointless annoying waste of memory and space and time because of the clockface changes by itself and all the BS to fix it just so it can change by itself again

A dual timezone capable widget would be a worthy feature.

This is great for getting a better feeling for how long a task takes in relation to how much day is left. I love it for focusing. Needs 24 hour time comparison when setting an alarm though. Edit... this exists in the app!

This is the best way to tell the time, why don't we always use this way of telling the time ?????

Nice app, however I would like it with a clock face with normal numbers (1 to 10).

Z70%
by Z####:

This is a really nice app. Maybe make the clock a bit more customizable?

Z70%
by Z####:

This is time the way it was meant to be shown.

Z70%

This is far and away the best computer version of a metric/decimal clock I've ever seen. The second hand just smoothly runs around the clock and there's no skipping, jumping, or halting. Good job!

Z70%
by Z####:

Just what I was looking for! It's beautiful and it's accurate.

The only fault I find is the widget, if you are going to use a four square space, at least make the clock maximum size. Why such a small clock???

Z70%
by Z####:

Absolutely amazing. Had this idea for a while now, but I guess I was beaten to it, and I'm so happy I was. Sweet guys, keep up the epicness.

T70%

I love this app. Only issue is the same as Robert Lord has pointed out. Widget often reverts to default appearance, losing my customisations. Otherwise 5 stars.

X70%
by X####:

I've been using this for a long time now, and I have only one complaint: a bug report. When the device reboots or freezes for any reason, the widget always reverts to the default appearance, losing your customizations. The only way to fix it is to remove the widget and add it again. Needs persistent settings... then it will get 5 stars. ;)

As others have mentioned, this app is incredibly well-crafted and thoughtfully thorough in its design and features. Beautiful. One thing that I think would absolutely delight any metric time converter is a constant screen overlay that would replace the standard corner clock with a metric one - where perhaps even clicking on it launches the app? It might be too much to ask, but it sure would help in telling the metric time without always having to go to the app or the homescreen just to check the clock.

I have spent some time researching the options for a metric time application for both and Android Phone and Android Tablet. LogiClock is by far the best available - it is well executed with beautiful graphics and delightfully free of adverts. It can be set using either metric or standard time and has bonuses of a stopwatch, a countdown timer and a world clock. What is even more amazing is that this app is FREE! It is the availability of apps like this one which make using the Android Operating System a total pleasure. Very Highly Recommended.

N70%
by N####:

This app is great for its purpose, the widget is very cool and useful for familiarising oneself with the system. However, the clock widget regularly defaults to the gold roman numeral style despite my setting it as the black and white simple modern style. Another reviewer has noted this, fix it and it'd be perfect :)

N70%
by N####:

The widget clock face resets to the face with Roman numerals if my phone display rotates to landscape. Fix this and I'll bump to 5 stars. Thanks.

H70%
by H####:

If I tilt the screen, when I rotate back to the previous position the clock face resets to the default style. Since this app hasn't been updated in over one year, I doubt it will ever be fixed. Anyway, it's a nice gimmick for us decimophiles :-)

V70%
by V####:

AMAZING CLOCK! But a 2x2 widget? Really? Make a 4x4 and you get 10/5 stars.

G70%

I've been looking for a good looking metric time app for android for a long time now. This not only looks good but also has all the features I want and is free. Highly recommended!
