metroMATE by Adelaide Metro

Shows bus coming, counts down, then bus disappears from the app. Never arrives, showing their so- called "Real Time Monitoring" is a crock of s**t. Edit: Adelaide Metro, you can't say with a straight face that this is real-time. We're running on Xmas timetables (why?) and the app is still showing the normal times, only the "realtime" symbol has changed. I've had to go back to using your website to check what's coming in REAL TIME to the stop I'm at. Like seriously, just buy Transit Times and use their code, it's no longer used here and was a much better product than this app, and the ratings below show it.

When it works it's ok, even good some times. The only issues are you can't exclude or just search by a particular bus (the App shows options that drop me 20 mins walk away from my destination, which is a no thanks from me!) but the annoying one is if I'm already waiting at the stop & the bus isn't there yet it vanishes from the App & I start thinking I've missed it even though I've been there waiting 10mins, so I have to go to the website to search 10mins earlier so I can see the updated expected arrival time.

There used to be a reasonable Adelade Metro app but this newer one has the most User-Hostile interface. Trying to plan a journey is so bad that it is far easier to use google maps or give up and take the car instead. For pete sake fix this horrible mess of an App. It stinks.

After numerous attempts to get this app to work I am giving up.

Goes as advised. Needs station info for trains on stops with multiple platforms. Metro card management would be a good addition

Absolute garbage wants me to walk 10km when closest stop is less than 200m away

Pretty good for planning though setting destination not intuitive. A link to user MetroCard acct would be nice.

Really difficult and slow. Inaccurate i formation. Not user friendly

Not as good as transit times app. No offline timetables.

Update your app so it shows where we are supposed to go during the tram line upgrade, stop showing the usual route

Once it features card balance it will be useful. Probably should have a widget for balance too.

Useless. So far it's told me that a bus to my destination (Stirling) would arrive in 20 minutes but it didn't go anywhere near Stirling. It then told me that the next one to Stirling would be in about 30 minutes. I then re-entered destination which told me that the next one was only 10 minutes away! Not impressed.

Very pretty but disfunctional interface. SO DIFFICULT to set a departure location and destination. App always wants to use It's own ideas - not what I want!!! DOESN'T LISTEN TO USER

Lacks important settings, like being able to minimise walking between transport modes. Continually crashes when searching for destinations as well. Poor effort that needs much work is often be useful.

The app is just not usefull. It asked me for home address, which I have entered but now everytime I select my home address it doeant tell me bus list and times, it wants me to walk to instaed. I thought this was metromate not fitnessmate

Hard to use. Not intuitive. Can you please provide instructions?

Locked up twice straight after i installed it.going to uninstall it now.the app was on my phone for less 5 min.

The app barely provides any information about bus times and timetables. And is never up to date

Absolutely useless previous app Adelaide Metro far superior it wasn't broken an at certainly hasn't been fixed. Thumbs down

Bs nice is the buses actually stopped.

All I want to do is program my regular routes then see the times, I dont want other route suggestions unless I ask for them. Transit times was much more functional. Update After some good feedback and guidance from the developer I am finding the app much more useful. Revised rating from 2 to 4 stars

This app is pretty bad. None of the journeys would actually load. Was using Google maps but I need to know which buses are wheelchair/pram friendly. Will have to stick to using the website journey planner.

The 'Journey' feature is infuriating. It doesn't seem to consider that I could walk fast or even run to catch a bus/train/Eta. The number of times I could have made a bus by seconds but didn't know it was approaching has made me stop using this function in real time. The 'Stops' function is better for real time arrivals - you know if you need to run ????

Terrible all I wanted was a bus from RAH to Paradise interchange via Obhan not a site seeing 3 hour tour on a bus that said Paradise Interchange. What is the point of the Obhan if buses dont clearly show if they use it 10 minutes into the city 3 hours back because app does not actually give the best option as per your request absolute waste of time and definitely not user friendly. How about you use programers who actually use it and know what people want and need

Gave this a workout when taking the Gawler line then the airport express bus to catch a plane. Drove us mad! Three times buses were said to be arriving in a few minutes and then they just "disappeared". Very stressful 30 minutes waiting on Currie St and worrying about being late for our flight. Apart from the issue of an overly long gap between buses at 4.30 in the afternoon (not the app's fault). the disappearing buses feature made this app very unpopular with us. Fix this!!

Have not updated ap to get me to new Royal Adelaide hospital.

Great app. Runs smooth and has a good interface. Really helpful when planning my route. Still doesn't help with the unreliability of the adelaide metro though:(

Buses that 'don't' exist show up on the and disappear, the actual buses never come. Same ones every time.

I use moovit it's more logical to plan a journey I was hoping metro would improve but it more difficult to program a journey.

There is plenty of FROM INFORMATION, but no TO INFORMATION from Mawson lakes to Gawler
