About Check Me In
Isn't it disappointing to lose your Foursquare mayorship because you sometimes forget to check in at places you visit regularly?
Let's make an end to that with auto check-ins!
This app automatically checks you in when you are in the neighbourhood of places you've chosen.
It's easy to configure and above all: it doesn't drain your battery.
State of the art technology is used to reduce the amount of battery power needed to know your location.

Usage:
1) add locations to track
2) configure the checkin radius and check-in delay time
3) save, and done! You will be checked in automatically from now on once you are within the check-in radius for the given amount of time.
Double checkins are avoided, when you stay at the same location for a longer time, we will check you in again, but only after 20 hours. (you only need 1 checkin/day for your mayorship)
The official Foursquare app is required on your device (authentication).

TROUBLESHOOTING:
What if you're not checked in:
- Don't force quit the app (swiping it out in the app switcher), if you do, it won't be able to locate you.
- check if location tracking with google play services is enabled on your phone, the app will not work if you turn them off!
- check if your sensors (gps, wifi) are enabled
- set a bigger checkin radius or lower check-in delay (you have to stay within this radius for the given amount of time, every time you go out of the radius, the timers are reset)
- Every time the app is opened, some checks are done that might reset the timers, be aware of this while configuring your venues!
- Someone reported that reinstalling the app also might do the trick, weird, but it doesn't hurt to try it.
PRIVACY:
All data that's needed for the app to work is stored locally on your device.
The only thing that is tracked, are the app crashes and amount of checkins to make sure the app is still working on every device. This is an anonymous process.

Looking at my checkin history, it appears to have missed many of my visits to venue locations, even though I used wifi at venue. Maybe not backgrounding properly??

Back before Foursquare went all Swarm, this app worked beautifully. I didn't have to manually check-in to places I regularly frequent, but now I've got no activity happening. Le Sigh, it was fun.

Decent app. Does what it says. Would like overlapping locations to overcome fuzzy positions. Is there a way to turn it off for a period of time?

HTC One. I have ran through the trouble shooting, reduced the timer, ect...but the app doesn't like to check me in to anywhere but my home. Checked to see what apps are running and it shows that it is running in background. Any ideas?

I'm sure some of its me and some of it is foursquare, but I can't get it to consistently check me in. I do leave it running in the background. The problem is some of my check-ins are really close so it's tough tweaking them.

I had the same problem of it not working, like people had mentioned in their reviews. I'm someone who usually just swipes to close apps that I'm not using. I did that for this app, but noticed it's not checking me in. Obviously, since I closed it out. So, I swiped all my apps closed except for this one, and what do you know, it checked me in. So, it'll work, as long as you keep it running in the background. I don't know how much battery it will use, but we'll see after I leave it running for the day.

Why do you need access to my Google account in your requested permissions unless you are selling my data? Permission has nothing to do with 4sq. On top of which app doesn't work

I've set up quite a few locations and some seem to work, yet others do not. I've adjusted all the necessary positions, radius' and time limits yet results are still inconsistent. When at work, it took nearly three hours before I was checked in. Went over to a near by bar for only an hour and was checked in. Yet at another location and check in failed completely. Admittedly, it's only three locations, but the results are very different.

I spent hours setting up this app, only to find out that it falls to check you in when it's supposed to. It checked me in 1 out of the 6 times it was supposed to check me in.
