Your colleague has already been transformed into the terrible beast.

In the beginning you choose someone, who will be the beast, and other players will try to find the way out of the maze, trying not to be found by beast, because it means the failure and, probably, painful death. The main task of the beast is much simpler, you should find and kill other players. Easy. Except this the maze is full of puzzles, that will help you to close and to open some doors, it will certainly help to escape.
