This app is a powerful navigation tool designed for outdoors sports like hiking, bushwalking, mountain biking, kayaking and trail riding. Its simple to use and works even in the remotest back country since it doesn't require network connectivity. It allows you to work in UTM or lat/lon coordinates so you can even use it with your paper topographic maps. Waypoints and track logs recorded in the field can be be viewed later in Google Earth.

App has a lot of good features, but it can't import individual Google Earth waypoints saved as KMZ (they need to be part of a KML). Also the quick start guide says Import is in the Menu, and it is not. Minor issues, app is very useful.

A potentially very useful app. But, while the geotagging photos config appears to work fine enabling 'burn location into photos' crashes the app for me. Pity, that is a very desirable function in this type of tool.

Works perfectly without network signal. I use it to keep the location of research equipment and study spots in the field. Data exporting is straightforward. This is both a professional tool and a leisure gadget.

This is an excellent app! Dev, is there a way we can create and/or edit a route with existing waypoints? I saved a few waypoints the other day but could not find a way to manually link them in a specific sequence. If this is not currently feasible, do you plan to add that feature in the near future? As mentioned above, I really like this app and if I could create routes, it would completely replace other apps I have. Thanks for a great app, dev! Update 11/28: Thank you for the quick reply, dev. 05/20: Thanks for the latest updates, dev! Which of the two methods for creating routes do you recommend? Can I use the same routing features if I use the original method (join)? I prefer that one since it allows me to save it.

This is an excellent app for playing in the brush. UPDATE 4/30/17: Thanks for the quick response. Deleting that folder worked perfectly. Only complaint I have is that I can't change the Waypoint symbols. These haven't worked for several versions now.

It does what it does very well, but I would like to have more options while navigating to a waypoint. The compass is fine, but I'd like the option of navigating from the map screen (with a line to the destination) and a screen that gives you the distance to your destination, etc in text... sort of like the options on a Garmin GPS.

This app is brilliant for tracking your location and your route which it dusplays on the aerial photo map as you go. On a couple of ocvasions Handy GPS has lead us straigjt back to car when we've been, er, debating the correct route. I'm anticipating a paid for version as it feels just wrong to use this excellent app for free!

Ive used this for some time. It's getting better and I have enjoyed it. Most used features could be more prominent in interface and less used could move to secondary menu making more room on phone screen. Very well done!

Love this for tracking where I have been only thing I would love to see (unless I have missed it) is a way to pause the tracking distance so when I'm out walking and go back home I can pause it then turn it back on when you go back out.

Great gps app for importing/exporting gpx files. Does everything my Garmin Foretrex does plus more. The only thing that bugs me is you can't download more than 100 map tiles per "offline map" so that i can't zoom in all the way. If you can remove this limitation I'll give it 5 stars.

I use this app primarily for scouting before the hunting season. Its great for marking the locations of my future feeder stand and camera sites. Accurate and reliable. You won't get lost in the woods if you have this app.
