اختتمت إليزابيث الرواية بنهاية سعيدة، ربما كما في الحكايات كانت نهاية مثالية، أحبت ليز في الرواية رجلاً برازيلياً، وسافرا للبدء من الصفر، ولكن هذه المرة على أساس متين؛ وجود الذات وتواصل قوي معها، مهما يحدث.
