The new version has a much improved connectivity. There is still some lag and a few weird things, but it's well functional.

Doesn't work with leveno tab 8, it ahoelws up in Bluetooth setting but the app cannot find it and on my G4 it turns on but no controls are active.

Y70%

Great app! You must download it and buy makeblock

N70%

Android app for Airblock does not work. The programming functions fail horribly - the drone does not respond. Fails on both Samsung phones and tablets. The airblock should be sold as an Apple-only product because that's the only app the works correctly.

May: Latest update fixed everything including connecting Bluetooth at a distance. Only tested on ranger model. April: It was great but now led works only after editing code. Switch to design mode and switch back and all sensors work for 5 seconds then die. Design again and works again for 5 seconds

Got my air blocks today. The controls do not work at all. So my new little toy is completely useless to because the app doesn't work.

Does not work any longer with the mbot ('unrecognizable firmware). PC update does not work! App useless

Update changed overlay for Airblock. Flight controls not working, and firmware says unrecognizable.

I would like to know WHERE ARE THE BUG FIXES called out in the release notes??? Just not for Android and the Orion board???? Older version of the app worked well on my Samsung Tablet then you pushed out updates that crash when I loaded a project created in an earlier version - really??? When the app stops I have to force stop the app and clear the cache to get it back. Have you ever heard of a spell checker? The word is "Numeric" not "Numberic" - consistently sloppy! I totally agree with the other reviews, this could be wonderful. Please clean it up.

Can't get it work consistently, and after I bought 8 of the bots for an educational program, inconsistent in not acceptable. Please get this working.

Awesomeness in an app

Many of the controls don't work, no buzz, random light, etc. Only direction. You can not play with programing, very disappointing. I did notice that all functions operable momentarily after changing code. Just for a moment, what a tease. Would be 5 stars if it worked as advertised. Without the app to play with the programming, mbot is boring.

N70%
by N####:

The App won't let me turn the brightness up, Sprint, do line following, or obstacle oviding. If you fix then I will give 5 stars

N70%
by N####:

The recent app update won't let me do anything. Just moving. I tried the Apple app and it work just fine. The android is not working.

Q70%
by Q####:

Worked ok (not great)for a while then just stopped working. Updated device SW didn't fix it.

R70%

Latest version is not stable with mBot 1.1. Sensors unstable, only joystick does what it should.

N70%
by N####:

Would not install on my phone which has ver 4.1.2 of android. The instructions said it would work on version 4.1 and above. Not impressed. Also why does it need to know my phone call information and location. Too much for my liking.

Best android programming app. Works great with all my makeblock implements and arduino(with added Bluetooth module and makeblock firmware). Would like to see gyro/accelerometer support for ultimate 2.0 kit (megapi) soon. Thanks for the excellent app and products.

It is an interesting program. Still I do not know why it always wants to turn on Bluetooth. I want to learn the controls and not always next to the machine. Please remove it from the program startup.

OK this was working fine, I was working on a program, then my bot crashed. I rebooted him, finshed the block program, then he crashed again. Every minute, he starts beeping like crazy, then shuts off his signal, then turns off. I dont know how to fix this, or what the problem is, can someone plz help me?

N70%
by N####:

Great, when it works. Most of the time it ignores that you've selected Orion and defaults back to mBot so it then complains about incorrect firmware, so is unusable.

N70%
by N####:

Works well, connects easily, controls well. Suggest being able to adjust maximum speed to make joypad more responsive as robot is a little too fast. Great job on a great product

N70%
by N####:

Very good, but can u tell me how we get to graphical programming?

N70%
by N####:

It was the most important thing

N70%
by N####:

Says it does but cannot be programmed. Constantly picks the wrong toy so you can only turn left. Only after many retries can it (sometimes) pick the right toy so you have a very expensive remote controlled car. Bummer I was really looking forward to programming and mucking around with this.

I connected the make block to it.It still dose not work

Just saying it's pretty buggy when I'm driving my car but it's great!

Program changes are easy to enter but they don"t seem to work!

Once you get the hang of the slightly crazy user-interface, it's very powerful. Took me ages to realise (both the first time, and also after a break for a couple of weeks!) that a brief press on the controls brings up the scratch code! The latest version is a step back in terms of Bluetooth connectivity - previously I could connect at significant range, now the device needs to be practically touching the robot. The one serious downside with the app/platform is that the code runs on the phone/tablet. Since there's a significant lag (due to Bluetooth?) this means it's very hard to write anything non-trivial, since the code is always working with sensory data that is 0.5-1 seconds old.
