Die DRW basieren auf einer Erhebung, welche 2010 in der Schweiz durchgeführt wurden. In der nuklearmedizinischen Diagnostik ist die verwendete Grösse der DRW die applizierte Aktivität für eine Standard-Untersuchung, welche eine ausreichende Qualität zur Erlangung der diagnostischen Informationen sicherstellen soll. Die Rubrik DRW/Dosis der App berechnet die zu applizierende Aktivität für eine spezifische Untersuchung für einen 70kg schweren Patienten und gibt die effektive Dosis E50 an. Die App DRW-Nukmed berechnet die gewichtsspezifische Applikations- und Mindestaktivität für Untersuchungen von Kindern gemäss die Dosage Card der EANM.
