Le Tour de Romandie regroupe l’ensemble des cantons romands sous une même entité et représente un vecteur de promotion puissant pour la Romandie. Il offre à la fois un spectacle sportif fascinant pour le public et de superbes images aux téléspectateurs.

Le Tour de Romandie est unique et joue le rôle de trait d’union entre plusieurs régions s’identifiant à cette manifestation.

Ses précieuses valeurs : course cycliste prestigieuse et mythique, découvertes culturelles et touristiques lui donnent une position importante dans le calendrier cycliste international et accentue son intérêt auprès des médias. En 2006, cet événement a reçu le label d’excellence « UCI Pro Tour » qui devient « UCI World Tour » en 2011.

Le Tour de Romandie est une course cycliste à étapes qui fut fondée en 1947 afin de célébrer le 50e anniversaire de l’Union Cycliste Suisse. La première édition du Tour réunissait 40 coureurs répartis dans dix équipes. A l’époque, seule 4 étapes figuraient au programme et la distance totale parcourue fut de 755 kilomètres ! In 2006, this event has received the Seal of Excellence "UCI Pro Tour" which becomes "UCI World Tour" in 2011.

The Tour de Romandie is a stage cycling race which was founded in 1947 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Union Cycliste Switzerland. The first edition of the Tour brought together 40 riders divided into ten teams. At the time, only 4 steps on the program and the total distance was 755 kilometers away!
