Just visit the website. App gives zero added benefit. Not sure why it's a 25MB app since it has no offline content at all.

K70%
by K####:

Can't sign in because set up with Google account and when I try to sign in when I click the Google icon to log in nothing happens

C70%
by C####:

For the past 24 hours cannot buy discounted tickets through the app, or online or at Union station, due to either server or service not being available.

K70%
by K####:

Crashes constantly. Unreliable.

O70%
by O####:

Just a portal for website. No functionality whatsoever. You need to download files for additional info. Don't waste data to download.

E70%
by E####:

You go to purchase a ticket, it asks you to log in. You do. It clears your cart. You fill your cart and go to purchase. It asks you to log in. You do. It clears your cart. Repeat FOREVER!

A70%
by A####:

Useless! A badly done website entry points. Some links don't work!

K70%
by K####:

What anpoor effort. Common' UP! The mobile team has loaded a pdf "mini schedule" without the pdf extension and the whole app bricked itself when it downloaded the file. After I had to uninstall to get the app running again, my tickets were gone. Fortunately I had a backup in email. By why bother with the UP app in the first place?!

K70%
by K####:

This app is totally amateur!

K70%
by K####:

Developers would benefit from actually trying to use the app...Or giving it to their mother and having them try it

K70%
by K####:

Do not download this app, it will make you more frustrated than the 20 minute wait to buy a ticket at the kiosk. The length you have to go to in order to set up an account is ridiculous and time consuming. When buying a ticket it emails it to you, and it doesn't always arrive quickly meaning you might miss a train or two. I was so frustrated with it that I debated spending 4x the price of the train and getting a cab instead. It's so bad that I can almost guarantee you that the Ontario government spent at least $500 million developing it...

K70%
by K####:

So I never actually got to use the app. It timed out several times, and cleared all of my information when it did this. Once I finally got my information submitted it said it sent a verifaction email, while waiting for it to arrive app timed out again.Still no email and unable to request another be sent. I'm just going to use the kiosk.

Needs work to make functional. Can never get the tickets on the App after buying them. Useless right now.

K70%
by K####:

Useless. Very badly put together. Crashes every time I try to purchase a ticket. Does not show tickets I have purchased so I have to go through the actual website/email or get the customer service agent to pull up my account.

K70%
by K####:

No idea what bugs everyone else are finding but this app is working perfectly for me. Bought tickets for a trip next month, easy.

B70%
by B####:

BEWARE!! DATA GRAB Doesn't work. Gives you option to sign in to social instead of another email and password setup then still makes you do an email and password. Then you must verify email so you have to toggle away from the app then when you come back it is back at the beginning with no record of your tickets or login. WACK.

Q70%

As a first timer to Toronto I could have used some help to get around. This app was actually counter productive and took time from my life that I will never get back. It makes me long for time travel so I could tell myself to never install it irregardless of subsequent butterfly effects... Ya, it's that bad.

U70%

On galaxy note 3 if you have open ticket and screen locks the ticket becomes unable to use when screen unlocked. Now cannot open as getting error UP application has stopped. A nice idea but have uninstalled

U70%
by U####:

Low quality app, slow, unstable. Yeah, don't even bother registering, give them your credit card info. If you need/want to use the train, simply buy the ticket in person.

M70%
by M####:

Might be useful. No way to know. It worked once, then reliably crashes every time I try to launch the app. Reinstalling doesn't help. Easier to buy tickets on the website and display the PDFs on your phone.

G70%
by G####:

I love the app and the concept. Bought a ticket, app crashed. Restarted. App crashed. Wasted 10 mins at Pearson fishing for backup PDF... Gave it a "2" based on hope for the future...

The app has stopped .. no reason why. Wanna take it tomorrow and can't check sched even

G70%

planner is technically a browser page that loads Google maps ! the same applies for most functions it's not a native app but a browser.

Whoever designed this app needs a speaking to. Colour is atrocious, app is clunky.

U70%

I have to use the app to buy tickets in advance for my stop, otherwise I wouldn't use it for anything. UX is terrible and the app is buggy.

This is not an app. Map is not a map, not interactive, it's pdf image, pages are not optimised for mobile, schedule is a marketing novel, you have to scroll to find times, to buy tickets you have to login somewhere... If you're reading: I'm on the phone, with all payment info, please just take the money with one click, it's a train ticket, not a mortgage, show me real train times, only times, you have my location so default, show stations on an actual map, etc.

U70%
by U####:

Tried multiple times to enter credit card info only to have app stop accepting number after only 15 digits. Whoever developed this app should know that credit cards are 16 digits. What a joke. I now understand why this service is losing money. You should withdraw this app until you have completed testing. Very unprofessional.

After 7 "log in with social media" attempts got me no where, I tried checking out as a guest. The transaction timed out saying that it was unavailable. 15 minutes later I get an email with 2 tickets purchased, both set to expire on the same day. I only wanted one, so thanks for the double charge I guess :(

This app was created by a 10 year old for a school project. It's not a real app. It just plays a mobile version of the UP Web site. The basic functions work, but you cannot get schedules for stations other than Union or Pearson. You need to back up to previous page to change your selection. Pretty poor. One would expect something better from a rail service provider.

Just use the website. And why would I log in to buy an one-time, one-way ticket?
