It took quite a bit of time to release 2.0 version.

Nester Child Mode & Time Education is the essential application for digital parenting.
With Nester, you can regulate time and select applications for your child. Parents can pick only certain applications to be on Child Mode. After selecting right applications for Child Mode, you can set a timer for your child. Once the Child Mode is on, your child won’t be able to reset or leave unless parents unlock it for them.
Nester helps your child to recognize how much time is spent and left while he/she is on smartphone. We have used child-friendly user interface so 0-6 year-old children can easily understand the meaning of time consumption. In addition, we have designed Ending Game after each timer to ease frustration caused from the inevitable shut-down.

The Ending Game is a powerful feature of Nester. The Ending Game helps to calm and ease children at the end of their playtime. For children to learn self-control, it is important to redirect their attention to elsewhere. It is also important to let them know that playtime is only set for the promised time.
The Ending Game has two functions:
1. Substitution to calm and soothe kids before the end of their smartphone use.
2. To notify when the time is running out. Also help children to conceptualize time so they will learn the importance of making and keeping appointments. The ending ceremony; putting a cute Nester bird to sleep, alert children that the time is over.

Nester child mode tips:
First, discuss the time with your child
"Today, we do this for only 3 eggs (30 minutes)", "When the night comes and the bird seems sleepy, let the bird go to bed."
Remind your child about the eggs (time) so they can check the remaining eggs (time) for themselves. When the time is up, Nester doesn’t shut down immediately. The bird becomes tired and the ending game begins. This is the ideal time for parents to participate and explain the ending game and time management.
Therefore, our ending game acts as a great catalyst for conceptualizing and managing time.
Combined with parental participation, Nester provides simple, understandable education for kids in their developing stage.

Awesome for a year! Keeps the children on the apps for them without ads or the power to purchase! It has a timer and a mini game at the end to wind them down...keep up the good work! (Older version) ‰%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%The newer version does not have the parent mode I am used to and my boys are able to access the internet and ads are not blocked anymore. I prefer the older version for these reasons! Wish I could block the ads...

It's good app and better than the others but you should work really hard to improve the lock feature and make it more complicated like putting password as an example

It's a little too easy for an intelligent child to unlock, especially if they know how to read. Other than that, it's alright. I used to be able to find an app that not only allowed you to select the apps and games on your phone but also had games for kids of its own. I think this app would be better if this app had its own games.

Love the concept but would like more interactive home screen (images wiggle/flash/etc when tapped) and it took my 4 year old all of 12 minutes to figure out he could still swipe from the edge of the screen to pull up the android controls and exit the app.

It works well but it needs a way to block in app purchases and ads. When my little one clicks an ad it takes her to the play store. Also, the unlock is a little hard for me to do on my phone. The clock hands could be larger and the apple graphic covers up some of the unlocking directions. Needs to be fixed for Android 5.0.1

We really like this app. The only issue I have with it is my children can still get out of it without doing the clock. If they press the home button, it brings them to the multiple pages screen that they can get into other stuff with. I like the clock as security as well but it's not very secure against children who are learning that, so maybe having something different there could work, like maybe answering a question of some kind that only teenagers would know? Thanks

Putting the bird to bed at the end of scheduled time is a great feature. It gets the kids off right away.

(I have galaxy S6) after designating approved apps and opening them in child mode the timer that was set for 15 minutes didn't work. There was no interruption to game usage (sesame street go) at all. Upon return to the nester kid safe homescreen (half hour later) the little owl was "asleep in the dark". Kind of seemed like he was asleep on the job! I also found that the pulldown samsung menu was still accessible in addition to returning to regular homescreen with home button. Add Device Lockdown please!
