2014 will be the 16th British Musical Fireworks Competition hosted by Southport. After a successful event in 2013 the event is planned to stay in Victoria Park, home of the Southport Flower Show.
The event is a competition and each competitor will fire a display lasting approximately 16 - 18 minutes synchronised to music. These displays are judged and at the end of the competition the 2014 British Musical Fireworks Championships winner will be announced.
