Media Converter

Works great! Someone I don't know sent me a video they caught of my son kicking his first soccer goal, but the video was in a format (.mov) which I couldn't share on social media so his family in other states can see it. This app works perfect to convert from .mov to .mp4, and the quality still looks great!

I have win ME headunit in my car that only support avi video format. I had tried 2-3 converter on my lappy but none of the converted videos played on this unit especially the one that have a longer playback time files. But with this converter all works well. Very surprising. Thanks to the developer. I salute!

It's not the prettiest or glamourous but you shouldn't care if it gets the job done well. I've downloaded and tried many others and they've paled in comparison; mainly pretty shells with one conversion - No joke. I needed options and this App has them. SOLD!

Interface is a little confusing, especially navigating to the SD card, but it works great. Just wish it was faster... Maybe the developer could make it multi threaded to make better use of the multiple processor cores in modern devices? Or make it run tasks in parallel? It takes as long to convert as it would to watch, on a 1.2ghz octacore with 3gb RAM, so definite room for improvement, but I'm glad I found an app that actually works

I have friends who have TV's that don't support mkv. So I just convert it to mp4 using this app and all is good. It doesn't seem to be able to search for files on my sd card but having said that I could be doing something wrong. But to get around that I just move the file to my internal storage and it shows up then you can convert it.

I recently downloaded the app to convert m4a to mp3 and when I converted them the new mp3 file was scratchy and just garbage, I converted over 800 songs that were not saved in a different place but my phone!!!! I usually do not rate apps and leave feedback but this set me over the edge, please fix or don't offer the option at all. Hope the creators see this.

I've downloaded other file converting apps, but they all either didn't work or wanted money to convert. This is sooooo easy to use and does exactly what I need: a file converter that works without extorting money from the user. Great app!

You guys just killed me. Please get me back the previous version... I was using it for one purpose only. That is to convert my videos (mostly series) from mp4 to mpeg format to play on my home theater which can only play videos in mpeg and avi formats. But since i upgraded to the latest version, the converter has stopped converting to mpeg format and the avi it convert to can't play on my home theater. Please how do i get back the previous version?

Just don't change the default folder locations. Then everything works great! I have dropped review to 3 after noticing the app is always running in the background, 24/7

It is the best app for converting media and I cannot find another...... But sadly I am unable to use it.. Whenever I select any audio or video it shows duration : 00:00, audio : N/A, and video : N/A. I know that there is no problem with the files as i can play them on other apps..... I hope you can fix it. Edit 25/10/16 : Thanks for fixing it!!!!

There is nowhere to select the SD card - only the on-board storage folders are visible, meaning I couldn't use this app. Otherwise the app looks OK and I liked that it limits the permission requests to only what's really needed.

Can't load from SD. Doesn't save info or profiles so when you have to change a timecode or setting for MMS size, you have to input everything all over again. Incredibly tedious. It also writes over the previous encode so unless you go and move or rename that file, you might accidentally lose it. No option to avoid this. Not a lot of options in general actually. Interface needs work. Prob the best current Android converter but leaves a lot to be desired.

Will it convert WMV Files to MP4? Apparently NOT! Does not show converted mode in SD card library; which still reads as an WMV unplayable file. And yes; potential detractors, l tried all of the WMV converters and none of them worked! It's the Audio Code as well as the Video Code that needs to be converted as well.

I had to convert most of my music to mp3 as they were FLAC but slow conversion definitely 5 stars after that issue gets sorted

It is working but today I was converting a WEBM quality to AVI..yes it converted and showed also that this video is converted into AVI but when i plugged into a telivision which only support AVI QUALITY but it say this formett is not supported..so please tell me what is this... why it is supporting AVI quality which is converted by your app????

It may convert to another format BUT...you cant increase audio bit rate...video bit rate or increase the video resolution although you can...I spent 8 hours converting a 3 hour film. It was just over 300mb in size and I wanted to make the film into 720hd. .guess what...no difference. It actually made the sound worse.you can't make the file better if you don't have the source file in my opinion

new features & interface really truely awesome. Its actually fast (if you think its slow, then you have slow/bloated phone; kill some apps/services & clear cache etc) I use this to convert HD video to 3gp for messaging, but often I must try several times to get the best quality under 1 MB. Estimated filesize would be nice!

My problem was how to change files from webm format to mp4 format and this app solved it! It is good though file size increases 3× or more when you convert from webm to mp4.

Does exactly what it says with no fuss. Converted some old wmv files to mp4 so I could share on Instagram. Probably took longer to download and install the app than it did to convert my videos.

Will be five stars if they add a search facility, it's a bit of a pain to scroll through hundreds of files to find the one you want.

Make it faster and add search bar. it's converting to 256kbps. A 7 minutes song is around 16mb. But it converting into 13mb. Fix these thanks

I convert m4a to mp3 for Djay2 app. In the app , the mp3 files broken! Other app accept that mp3 files as well. Maybe you should check it!

It doesn't recognize multiple audio or subtitle tracks, nor give me h.264 options for best quality or compression nor for audio options on AAC to use LC or HE and their options, useful but mediocre as it uses only defaults

Doesn't do anything. Says convert completed, but, nothing was done. Not sure if it's because of 6.0.1 or what, but, doesn't work or even play videos.

Can't select from sd card... what a waste

...but it works well, and with minimal permissions. With patience, it gets the job done. No complaints.

An absolute charm to use, lots of features and fast . This small app is very helpful, and supports loads of formats. It rightfully earned the 5*s from me.

I had used the APP in my SAMSUNG. It was very good! Now trying the latest in this LYF LS-4505.

After spending over an hour waiting for this to convert a movie, it succeeded in creating what cannot be played

It's ok, but i wish that it will work faster and it will not take up too much space like converting a 168.48mb to 1.4gb. I hope that they will improve this app coz its very helpful

Tried converting a mp3 to ogg ringtone. Resulting file couldn't play - corrupted.

Yes it converts but it's slow..... ridiculously slow....... constipation is quicker than this app......but it does work.

Took two files - an MKV and an AVI - and turned them into unplayable garbage

I had almost given up until I downloaded this App. No other converter worked to change my wav media to mp3 and this work quickly very fast and let me rename it whatever I wanted love this App.

Doesn't see any files other than what it decides on main page. If I try to explore to where I actually store my music (SD card) it doesn't even show my folders.

Used it once so far. It worked better than expected. Will update to 5 stars once my confidence on it increases. Thank you very much for this gem!

Whenever I go to the download page, I try to scroll down and keeps scrolling me back up! Edit: 1 year later they still haven't addressed the problem.

I tried to convert some 4k videos into various resolutions and the converter failed everytime to do it. It's a rubbish app.

This app just waste my time!
