Herb & Spice Helper

I wanted to be able to see which herbs to use for a certain meal, and also which other herbs and spices compliment each other etc and found this app which sounded like exactly what I was looking for. It was exactly what I wanted, and more. Has information about how to use the herbs too and when to add them etc as well as substitutes - really good app! Very pleased with it.

Why is there not a North American meal style?

I like that it tells u what herbs/spices goes w/ what; however, I have yet to find any substitutions listed as claimed in their description. False advertising :-(

They fixed any glitches and it is just as AWESOME as I was hoping it would be when I first saw the app and what it does! It helps you to know which herbs and spices go best with what foods, be it meat, vegetables, etc..., and then it also narrows it down to which type of cooking you're interested in like Chinese, Indian, etc....WOW! And, it is easy peasy to use! Love it!

A good reference on each and every commonly used herb and spice, suitable for those new to cooking, those who enjoy delicious food and fine dining, or for expert chefs that want to keep a reference with them at all times.

I've always used the Flavor Bible and this will be even more handy. Would really love a way to create a spices on hand list with when, how much & maybe where, I buy my spices so that when I'm shopping I can check exactly which cinnamons or paprikas I already have & how long ago they were fresh.

This app might not work on your phone. Usually if an app won't work on my particular Droid, the app will tell me or not let me download it. This one did NOT and it clearly is not compatible with my phone. I answer the first two "what type of food" questions and it just sits there. I know there is more to the app because I installed it on my work cell phone and it works on that app but that is useless to me as I am not allowed to use my work phone for apps like that. It might not work for you so be careful
