Lone Wolf Saga

Excellent from a mechanical point of view, garbage design and story. In the first book I've ran into multiple difficult unavoidable fights with no healing stop or anything, making the healing discipline both mandatory and useless, since it can't heal enough. Food while usually (not always) heals in these kind of books, is just another obstacle, to make hunting discipline mandatory too. While every opportunty is given to use your special abilities to give you the illusion of freedom, since there is no healing, the mandatory fights makes this an utter disappointment. It had potential, but it's just wasted with poor design and story decisions. I suggest buy real books, those are usually fun and not riddled with such nonsense.

I love the game, but it won't let me download the Magnakai Series, I've played it before with no problems a year ago, now I can't download it, can someone please help

I really enjoyed the Kai series and looked forward to Magnakai. But when I tried to download the DB it wouldn't work. I waited over an hour and still nothing.

Losing bookmarks when leaving app to answer text messages or browse the web. No way to continue a book after they are lost meaning having to start from the beginning with no warning.

So great to get to play these again and be OCD and try to take all possible paths.

Legacy of vashna have some kind of bug, i cant continue at some point

I've poured hours into this saga and completing each book is so rewarding.

I literally grew up reading this series starting back in elementary school more than 25 yrs ago. This is one of my most favorite book series ever. I'm so grateful to the creators of this app for all their hard work creating such an amazing interact version of this much loved series. This is always among the very apps I download when I purchase a new phone. Thank you n keep up all the hard work!

Don't bother. You can't get past book 11 without gaming the system, and even then, your chances are slim. It's also a total crock that you have to pay money to be able to save your progress, which means you will have to play some books dozens of times before you finally win. Avoid at all costs. It just leeches off of Joe Dever's work.

This app is one of the best that I've ever played. It offers hours of excellent reading material with enjoyable action and adventure plus the ability to choose your own destiny. It can be frustrating sometimes but consult a walkthrough if you get stuck. I did and I'm glad because I've finished the whole thing up until their next update. Definitely worth a shot! Keep it up developer!!!!

It keeps on causing my Galaxy Tab S to restart, this has happened 3 times in the last 10 minutes. Without this bug i'd give it 5 stars! I've already spent £5 on bookmarks and would be willing to spend more if this bug is fixed. Please fix it dev!

Well done! Brings back childhood memories. The app makes managing equipment and combat quick and easy. Finishing a book is a lot harder than I remember though. I guess I was cheating a lot as a child! Can't go back to the last page everytime you make a bad choice.

Really great series, really well done app. Hours of enjoyment. My only issue is the way that each book heavily depends on the last, so if you're 12 books in, and something happens to the data, you have to start all over. Considering this, some way to back up save data or cloudsaves, or any kind of solution outside of root backup apps would be really helpful.

Really great first books, but I can't download the Magnakai or Grand Master series. Could on my old phone, but I got a new one and while everything else downloads fine, those to won't any suggestions? Preferably not to reinstall, because I would lose my character profiles.

Great App, great way to get into Lone Wolf's world for anyone who hasn't had the chance yet. The reading is smooth and the quality of the illustrations is superb. It can get frustrating to repeat the same book a lot of times, but that happened with the the actual books as well (if you didn't cheat that is). Only issue I've found is that I can't seem to be able to download any map at all. The progress bar just remains on 0.

Just wondering when Legacy of Vashna will be done. Other than loving these books too much and finishing them quickly then having to wait a while for the next book, absolutely no problems. Keep up the good work guys.

Loved every moment of the story and wouldn't change any of the current difficulties otherwise you just never have to plan or think in advance! Once I picked this up I don't think I left my house for a week just working through all three series!! Can't wait for book 16 to be released!!

Its really the best but wtf..cant even beat the book where u have to fight the chaosmaster and vonotar again. At least make a difficulty setting if your gonna make it that impossibly hard some of us just want to get through the story..and i WAS gonna donate but that part im on is getting so annoying thinking of just giving up on the whole thing

This app is was fine until I reached their Magnakai book: The Jungle of Horrors. Ever since that book, I have not been able to access my backpack, therefore not being able to consume potions and look at notes. Fortunately, I have somehow completed the Magnakai books from The Jungle of Horrors to The Prisoners of Time, where accessibility of my backpack is needed MOST: Without being able to consume potions, I cannot complete this book. I will fully appreciate it if this matter was resolved. Thank you.

Great app, im only on book 3, but look forward to hitting every single chapter! Only criticism is 1) at the summary at the start of a book, its one giant block of text, which can be annoying to read. 2) when i started the app, i wasn't sure how to play, having to DL stuff on top of downloading the app, with no prompting, slowed me down! anyways, you better believe i will keep playing until i finish.

Absolutely love it, very intriguing storyline that keeps pulling me back and not wanting to stop reading. Can't wait for the rest of the books to become available in the Grand Master series. There are so many different routes to build up anticipation for the next chapter.

Faithful recreation of the books that automates the tedious dice rolling / equipment logging / mapping. Nice to see the original artwork in there too. UPDATE - having completed all books up to the Darke crusade, my only negative is that the later books seem to be more linear than the early ones. This is a criticism of the books themselves rather than the app, which is still excellent.

Oh Lone Wolf, all those years ago when my hometown library didn't have the rest of your books, I was shattered. But here you are, all ready to go on your adventure again. Great work on the inventory/discipline screens, really makes a good, streamlines system, it's so convenient to not have to write anything down, A+. My only gripe, I wish the books would release faster, I'm waiting with baited breath to finally complete this adventure. Luck of Kai be with you all

Amazing app and a must for any fan. Only comment is since the last update I have been unable to install the updated database files from in the app?

I can't finger out how to start this. It tells me to roll starter items and gold crowns but it wont let me start. This looks like an amazing game it just doesn't start for me.

Thanks a lot to publisher n developer. I have never been able to collect and play all books. Been a very hardcore fan to the series.

To the Dev. It's quite easy to break your character. Seem to be getting a bug during the magnakai books where I break my character and lose my skills, whilst at the same time gaining unlimited weapon mastery points.... Any ideas?

Entertaining, but I don't know what's up with the dice randomizer. I'm not one to complain about difficult games- in fact I love them- but I swear I can't role anything more than a 1 to save my life (literally). Unless, of course, the high number is what needs to be avoided. Then I role 7's all day... Which is fine I guess, it just doesn't really allow for that "realm of possibilities" feeling you get with a classic game book. Feels more like I'm playing with loaded dice. Other than that, however, I do love how this app managed to stick with the true feeling of everything while providing an easy way to play our favorite Joe Dever stories.

Had this gamebooks when I was in junior high and this bring my memories back those days. So far no issue with the app and looking forward to the next updates to complete the adventure series. Nice if you guys also include the new world order into the app as well

Pretty amazing app, it seems however it broke in Android 7 Nougat. My LG v20 can't seem to download any of the databases, it just stands there and does nothing.

Poorly written story with very limited choices. Good for 12 years old kids.

These bugs are in the Darke Crusade. When you go into the stable to hide to get to the Shugkarn Gaol you die for no reason. There is no option allowing you to pick up the Jadin Amulet.

I never play these gamebooks, but I'm a lot more open now. One of the best games I've ever played/read.

Used to love it, but now I'm on the second to last book in the magnakai series and I can't beat it. The chaos leader you have to fight is unbeatable with the skills you have at that point in the game.

Excellent games series, anxiously waiting for more :D But: will the main app always have to be updated when a new book is ready?? Surely a notification and in-app update would be preferable.

This app helped me revist my childhood in a modern way which didn't detract in the slightest from the authentic experience, it just added to it. A huge thank you to the author of the app for their tremendous work. I also highly recommend buying a bookmark, they're tremendously useful.

The main problem that I get is that there's no checkpoints in the books - you have to start over when you die, and it's kinda annoying. Other than that, the stories' are cool, mechanisms work, overall one of the best choose-your-own adventure I've read.

Loved it at first. But as the series continued it seemed less like an intricate story and turned into a lame combat game. It's depth of towns lost after the kai series ended and only turned into constant fighting, confinement or death. It's interesting choices also seemed to die out after the kai series. I loved how your choices used to let you visit each individual part of a town and give you a real sense of the area but sadly was lost on the magnakai series. My rating: 1 star.
