Lagu Kenangan The Mercy's

The Mercy's, merupakan salah satu band terhebat di sepanjang masa. Mereka terdiri dari lima anak muda yang berambut gondrong, yakni Erwin Harahap (melody/vokal), Rinto Harahap (bass/lead vokal), Reynold Panggabean (drum/lead vokal), Rizal Arsyad (rhytem/vokal), dan Iskandar alias Bun (keyboard/vokal). Mereka mengusung kisah esensial sejarah dan kenangan yang suka hura-hura, serta berkiblat dengan band-band pesta di Jakarta, seperti, Noor Bersaudara, Ceking, Cruss dan Medinas.

Berdiri awal 1969 di kota Medan, Sumatra Utara, band ini dibangun oleh sekelompok anak muda yang berasal dari satu daerah yang mempunyai satu visi yang sama, sehingga membuat dua bersaudara dari marga Harahap ini bertolak dari Jakarta menuju Medan membentuk band pesta.

Nama The Mercy's sendiri secara spontan terbesit di ingatan mereka karena menyukai naik mobil merk Mercy. Jika diartikan dalam bahasa Prancis Mercy's artinya kasihan atau bisa juga terima kasih. Grup ini selalu mengikuti tren perkembangan musik mancanegara, sehingga mereka sering mengacu pada band The Beatles, The Bee Gees, The Hollys, C.C.R maupun Monkeys. Sesekali mereka juga membawakan lagu-lagu band nasional, seperti Koes Plus dengan hit-nya Telaga Sunyi. The Mercy's, is one of the greatest bands of all time. They consist of five young people who longhaired, Erwin Harahap (melody / vocals), Rinto Harahap (bass / lead vocals), Reynold Panggabean (drums / lead vocals), Rizal Arsyad (Rhytem / vocals), and Alexander aka Bun ( keyboard / vocals). They carry the essential story of the history and memories like rah-rah, as well as with bands oriented party in Jakarta, such as, Noor Brothers, Ceking, Cruss and Medinas.

Standing early as 1969 in the city of Medan, North Sumatra, the band was built by a group of young people who come from an area that has the same vision, making the two brothers of this Harahap clan departed from Jakarta to Medan form a party band.

The Mercy's own name spontaneously terbesit in their memories for loved riding the car brand Mercedes. If interpreted in French Mercy's meaning pity or it could be thanks. This group is always following the development trend of foreign music, so they are often referring to the band The Beatles, The Bee Gees, The Hollys, C.C.R and Monkeys. Occasionally they also bring a national band's songs, like Koes Plus with his hit Ponds Silent.
