DIY Recycled Jeans

We should have thought of recycling a long time ago, and I mean before the trend started in the 70s and the 80s. I am referring to when the Industrial Revolution first started. Of course, if we would have known we were heading for an Industrial Revolution we would have done a great deal of things differently.

Setting up a recycling bin at a recycling center for waste management is not all our communities need. Each household needs to play a part in reusing what we would normally throw away. It can be a beautiful system when you work it right. Plus, you save money, time and energy. Three valuable resources that we all can appreciate saving at the moment.

The recycling system that we should all adopt includes giving resources back that we can't use ourselves. That means, anything we can't recycle in the home should be returned to the community to be processed and used again by others. That's when recycling bins for waste management are important. After all, we can't keep stacking up reusable resources in our own houses for the rest of our lives. We need an outlet. Recycling centers in every community will provide that for us.

But, let's focus on the recycling efforts we can do in our own homes. They save us money, we don't have to purchase more resources when we are reusing the ones we already have. They save us time, again cutting down on tracking down and locating resources that we already have. And they save us energy, by now you've figured out that by limiting the amount of purchasing and running that we have to do we save ourselves a ton of energy that we can best use engaging in other activities.

Refill
Anytime you get a chance to refill something, take advantage of it. Always look for refillable lighters, refillable ink cartridges and everything else that is refillable around your home. For instance, your ventless gel fireplace requires gel fuel cans to burn. Keep the cans and save them for the next time when you purchase just the gel fuel. This will save you money. It will save you time and energy too, but the greatest impact will be the money you save.

But, don't stop there! You can use old jeans to make pillow cases and quilts. Stuff pillows. Ever heard of a denim curtain? You have now. Start some wall art by wrapping an old frame with your denim jeans. It's a new theme you can try. Of course when the theme gets old, the jeans are once again reusable. You should find a place around your home where you can store old clothes, blankets, anything of cloth. Keep it in the back of your mind and try to consider using those old items every time you have a new project or a new need. Of course if those clothes items aren't stained or torn, you should give them back to the community and allow other people to wear them.
