No wonder it's on sale, the only language it offered me was English to Chinese. Tried all the info and setting buttons and couldn't find a way to access other languages. Requested a refund.

Word censoring for "bad language". In medical setting for example, its a hinderence. But this is my new favorite translator app! .................. UPDATE .................. app STOPPED WORKING a few days after i posted the review above. All translations just say "undefined". Uninstalled and reinstalled a few times to no avail.

I used this app before but after I uninstall and reinstall it, the female version for arabic in saudi arabia is no longer there. Why? And one request, is it also ok if you will also be putting the translation of english to arabic using the english alphabet not only in arabic form..like for example.. thank you - shukran. This will surely help us to learn how to speak the language.

This app is missing just one thing it's to write the translated word or sentence in a way I can spell it just like Google translator. (I'm personally trying to learn Japanese and this app doesn't show me the word or the sentence in English ,so I cannot spell it correctly). If you add this feature the app is going to be the best ever....

There is absolutely NO WAY this app can allow you to carry out a conversation in two languages with the flow and speed of real-world speech as its video suggested! However, if you break it down into single words without any grammatical structure, it might be able to get your meaning across. A gross oversight is its need for an internet connection to work coz you most likely need this app when you're abroad & ROAMING! It should let users download data beforehand & work offline!!

While the app cranked away on a high end Android phone, I was able to look up the phrase in Google, learn how to say it and write this review. Not exactly a sterling endorsement of speed. Also... why does this thing try to access Facebook?

Just bought the app and it seems to work fairly well; translations are done within a few seconds and are pretty accurate. Like most voice apps pronunciation is key and, at times, hit or miss. If you try speaking before it goes *beep* it will never stop "processing" and won't recognize what you said. Not mentioned is the fact that not all languages yet support multiple genders. For example, Arabic is male only for the moment. On the interface front, things are still somewhat sluggish (Galaxy Nexus) and hitting the back button will take you out of the app rather than take you to the main menu and it doesn't ask for confirmation if you want to exit it. Obviously still a work in progress, this app has some promising technology and I would tentatively recommend for those people that need a quick and fairly accurate translator.

I've tried the Spanish, Korean and Dutch capabilities with mixed results. Spanish and Korean work well, but the male Dutch voice is scrambled (female works fine). A little QA might be in order. Landscape support seems to extend only to the opening logo. If the app is run in landscape, it squeezes down to one side of the screen and remains in portrait orientation. The iPad version shown in the video has true landscape mode, so the company knows there are two aspects to be concerned with. I know Vocre is in active development, these would be good things to focus on. So long as I don't mind being portrayed as a Dutch woman, it's a great application for simple translation needs in near real time. Keep it up!

I don't believe the application is well built. The "Welcome" pop up does not disappear after the first use, hitting the back button after translating will cause the app to crash, and the views doesn't load up as fast as I would want it to. There are a lot of optimization that can be done to this application. I am using the Samsung Galaxy S3 with Jellybean. My connection is on my campus WIFI.

Nice idea but very confusing...hard to figure out what side is speaking and how to make it read...it looks easy in the video but yea its really not I showed 5 others and we all had trouble...and we actually work for Verizon so we know how these devices work...

Great app, but please fix: 1. Confirm exiting the app, hitting the 'back' key will exit the app without warning, VERY annoying. 2. Also allow disabling the notifications at the beginning, it gets very annoying. Keep up the good work.
