Simple to use interface. You can set multiple timers for individual lights or groups of lights. Alexa skills available to control the lights (Note: Must have "remote" enabled.) Use "Disco" feature with a group of lights to turn your room into a dance party. Only thing lacking - and why I didn't give five stars - is IFTTT support.

Nice concept and product. But controller discovery fails frequently, but I still can control the light by other external Linux application. Would be great if there would be possible to add static IP address of controller to application.

I won 2 led strip wifi modules and they are ALWAYS going offline. I always have to restart or reapply the remote settings. Its very unreliable. I have tons of iot devices and this is the worst.

Very nice app, but need support for IFTTT. But, when I keep the app on screen and phone screen goes off. Then I want to control the LEDs in app 10min or so, and the app is no more connected. I have to go back, refresh and then it connects back again and I have control. Thus also the timer function does not work. I've disabled every powersave g on phone but there was no difference.

I use two controllers and they are both on a timed schedule, it seems like after a week of being plugged in they need to be unplugged and reset because they disconnect form my router. Other than that great app!!

Z70%
by Z####:

Ridiculous list of permissions requested, no legitimate app would require the majority in order to work.

D70%
by D####:

Wish it had Night mode...black back ground option. Also if I buy 2 WiFi controllers. Can one app sync them and also controller both controllers for different effects?

D70%
by D####:

Useless, hardly could find signal for router and now that I got a new router can't set it up at all. Chinese instructions translated to poor English are less than useless

2017 review: still no ifttt sorry or Google home/assistant support - this really needs to happen. Still okay, some nice features but getting behind a bit (2015 review: Really loved this app: much better than the controller app that came with my led strips: my suggestions- the disco mode is the main reason i chose this app over others and is pretty good but would be great if you could reduce the brightness somehow as it can be blinding if possible? Also if you could implement an equaliser where you can choose what levels of each range the microphone is listening for or have one light for bass one for treble etc.)

J70%

Useless, fails to work. It's unable to find any of my devices 9 out of 10 times. When it finds it it works for half an hour. Support does not answer. I'm alone with my problem.

Works great on 7.1.2 too, but still no support for IFTTT. When you start supporting it? When scheduling timer, I cannot click on the RGB in top left corner to select exact color for timer. Can you fix it please?

I doesn't look very pretty, but it's easy to use. Also I'd love it if you could add IFTTT support

Surprisingly consistent. Very impressed and simple. Google home integration would be excellent.

The timer doesn't work

D70%

It works well but needs more than just 6 time slots to put in.

D70%

Using on a Motorcycle, app won't connect to controller. WiFi is connected via the phone.

D70%

Works well. Would like to see brightness as a setting on the scheduled functions alongside speed.

It is possible to add more timers??? Now is only 6

Great app. Has worked very well for over a year and a half. Has support for Amazon Alexa

The app still doesn't support copy and paste for the WiFi setup.

Original app worked fine...After the recent update it no longer connects to the box

O70%
by O####:

I was quite happy with the original app. After upgrading it stated that I should use this app as the original is no longer supported. The installation of this app has been a complete disaster as I can no longer communicate with or control my LEDs. I do not have the time, or inclination, to debug or fix your software and am furious that something that worked perfectly has been replaced with this product. FIX IT IMMEDIATELY I AM NOT AMUSED !!!

Worked fine up until update few weeks ago then one bulb kept vanishing from the app and had to be turned off and back on to reconnect but would vanish again after a short while. Two updates ago fixed this and now the problem has returned with the last but one update. Only one if my two bulbs is affected though

by W####:

I hate your app update. I bound my 10 ( TEN ) Magic home light bulbs to my email account like suggested now it will only find 1 ( one ) when connected to wi-fi. What is your problem ? Does anyone test these things ? I would suggest at least offering the app BEFORE the update so that everyone invested in your bulbs have a chance to enjoy them .

Z70%
by Z####:

Has a few flaws but works great and it gets updated. slow down the crossfade right down as it's way to quick to change colours. I want to be able to make a 7 colour change take all day or night not have it cycle through the whole spectrum in 2 minutes!! A quick access nightlight mode would be handy and also a night mode in the app.a.one touch adjustable sleep mode would be good for my bedside lamp when going to sleep too.The All on ,All off and All groups buttons need moving to the top as I often hit All off when pressing the home button to exit the app

I had problem at first (MY FAULT) Tomas (Support) helped me. Response was quick with follow ups from Ryan. Thanks! This is what I had problem with: On my phone, for some reason, I can only see one light at a time. IF I connect to another, the one that works, disappears. I can only control one at a time. I am able to program a color to each light, but one at a time. It disconnects at the wifi level I think. The bulb will go from Connected to Saved as I connect to the other bulb to program it. What I did Wrong: I did not connect the light to the router. I was only connecting each light to the phone. You must tell the light to connect to the router then go to the next light. (RTFM!)

D70%
by D####:

I've had zero issues with this app connecting or staying connected. It automatically detects the RGB source and offers many great options for control. I have to suggest setting up remote for every device you connect to your router. This will help if you're having any issues with connection or you'll need to hit the refresh button to gain control if RGB device is not responding. This app is not your connection issue. The device wifi location is 99.9% of connection issues.

Welcome to frustration under remote check the box to put bulb online then hit the authorization button which is underneath it why do I need authorization who knows. why did I need to hit it 100 times to get it to finally bind my bulb to the internet and stop saying failed bulb is offline or just failed. All this so Alexa can use it who knows but it working now after a few hours

It doesnt matter what i do the function option is always enabled. It goes through the 7 colors and i have no idea why. How can i disable the functions . I just want a regular white

A70%
by A####:

Ok. Does what it says on the tin. For some reason cycles through white on each colour change if they are similar colours, which is annoying if you want to give off fire colours (i.e. Red yellow orange would be red, white, yellow, white, orange). IFTTT compatibility would help to make this a fully functional modern product imo, but as it stands it's just "ok".
