Faster and more responsive. Should be able to do more with it rather than having to assess desktop.
Doesn't seem to deliver push notifications on my android. Needs to be fixed.
The team has been consistently adding new features and support is very responsive. Highly recommend this system.
Mostly functional, but clear iOS port job. Does not follow Material design principles.
Location-based actions drain the battery to the point I had to turn them off.
Great system! I had Lowe's Iris before for 4 years but this is far better.
Great Security System and app. Widget, location services and notifications are working perfectly on android 7.1.1 now. Very impressed with Abode overall.
HI can you guys make a panic alarm widget that u can make a name that says off or disabled, so in case a burglar looks at ur phone u fool them into thinking u turned alarm off
Love this system!
Excellent simple easy to setup system I have 2! And the app keeps improving
Abode is fantastic. It's a breeze to set up, and the extensibility is fantastic. The integrations available take no time to set up and are really cool. There isn't much the mobile app can't do, and they iterate quickly. Highly recommend using them!
Great app and product for security and smart devices.
love this system... it seems automatically when either my wife or I leave the house last extremely promptly. also the call center calls immediately! ????????
The Abode hub has limited connectivity even though it's sold as having Z-wave and Zigbee compatible. Upon receiving the hub it wouldn't work with some of the Z-wave products I already owned like the Monoprice Z-wave Plus recessed door/window sensor and Iris Zigbee door/window sensors. I ended up returning the kit and keypad. I ended up buying a Samsung SmartThings hub because it connects to everything I already own. My only issues with the Abode App were (1) slow to load (2) took longer than the SmartThings hub to find devices. I would recommend the Abode system if you're only going to buy the Abode accessories.
after searching for a long time. abode had all the answers.. amazing products.. very refreshing
Very happy with the system
So far so awesome
Love it! Just received it, easy install!
So far a great security system!
Easy setup and great versatility! Four stars because I still need to use the Nest app to see streaming video for my Nest Cam since Abode only lets me take a snapshot through their app. Also, if you want to setup any automations or quick actions you have to use their website which has scrolling problems with mobile devices.
Early days, but happy with what I have seen so far. Customer Service has been top notch so far.
Absolutely the best security/smart home platform on the market. Excellent customer service. Love the self monitoring/professional monitoring options and pricing.
This app is garbage. It is supposed to disable the alarm when you get home, which works maybe 2/10 times. And good luck getting notifications. Active alarms notifications almost never come and the cops were dispatched today because I didn't get the notification and I wasn't able to take the call from the monitoring company. All I get from support is to try reinstalling the app, which I'll admit does work, for a while. So maybe that's the solution just get on a schedule of reinstalling the app every couple of weeks so things don't break. It's a joke. More and more I'm thinking Abode is just a company full of empty promises. A year now they have been promising some amazing automation features and nothing has come of it. I may switch to Nest when it comes out. Updated 2:13pm Automatic standby failed again when I got home today. Either Android users are second class citizens or they just cannot make a reliable system. Spend your money elsewhere. I'm fed up and this system was a waste of over $1,300 with all the door/window sensors I purchased. I feel like I made a mistake.
This app's location service kills my phone's battery even if I remove its permission to fo so. Also it has a flickering annoying banner that constantly tries to sell you subscription service and doesn't let you scroll while the flickering gets refreshed. Fix these issues, Abode.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with abode. The app is pretty nice when it works. It has limited functionality when it comes to system/notification settings, but it's easy enough to set this online. My biggest problem is the system keeps disarming itself claiming my phone entered home, even when I'm miles away. This is not ok.
Great app and security system
Sweet system! This is a young product but has advanced very quickly and I like where they are going. I hope for Google assistant support soon. Very responsive support as well.
As a security system, it's best option out there. Ability to choose between self and professional monitoring cannot be beaten by their competitors. The android app itself could be done better, it doesn't feel like a native Android experience.
It's a good app, but for those of us that already have a monitoring subscription CAN YOU PLEASE REMOVE THE SUBSCRIPTION AD BANNER ON THE DASHBOARD. Much appreciated. Sorry for yelling.
Awesome control. Love it.
Super smart concept.
App no longer allows me to login. No clue what's going on. Please fix.
App has been working great for me, I'm new to abode so ill give it more time but so far everything about the app and system are quite wonderful.......Keep up the good work abode!!!!
I want to support you... I really do... But your app is garbage. Its one thing to have a few bugs in a normal app but we are dealing with home security here. A few examples, I trigger my alarm and immediately get a push notification (good!) But when I hit "disable" within the notification this apparently only works when it wants and sometimes doesn't actually disable (BAD!). I can't tell you how many times I get called by your support staff asking to confirm a alarm trigger when I thought I disabled my system. This is infuriating. Right now for instance, my timeline says I'm in "standby" mode but the top left button says "home". Which is it??? I can pull to refresh the timeline all I want... Usually the only thing that will get it to sync is a complete reboot of the app. This is inexcusable when time is of the essence in actual home security scenarios. I can't change any meaningful settings from my phone, everything must pretty much be done from a computer. Automations seem to work when they want. I have phone Geo location on/off set but that doesn't seem to be consistent at all. And let's not even start with your widget. I really want to support this and I understand growing pains but some of these are inexcusable when you have to count on a home security systems integrity. I already have 3 nest cams. Really thinking of switching to Nests new offering.
Im a happy new customer. So far the app and system appear to work great. Additionally support responds very quickly. Only suggestion at this point would be to add addition abilities to the app that are only supported by the website. Like the individualizing of settings for each device during away vs home
Great and app and system. I love the flexibility of hardware for the security items and the integration to other items, especially Alexa, Linear, and Schlage. Sometimes it seems to give too many notifications but we think we have paired this down. The automations are great and has really helped in making sure our garage door is closed at night in case we forget and to give comfort when we drive away that it should close if we forgot. My first suggestion would be the ability to create a unique notification sound. I have looked all over but can't find anywhere to change the sound so it uses the phone's default (which is also used by other apps). Second, more options for automation would be nice. Third, I'd like to see some better integration with Nest. Currently we will get notification of an "event", but if Nest thinks it sees a person I feel like the notification should be stronger and/or trip the alarm. Basically if someone breaks into my house in the night through an area without a sensor and Nest thinks it sees a person maybe the system should start beeping (if setup that way).
Limited functionality when it comes to granular notification settings. Limited ability to set custom conditions on automations. (something you can't do in app anyways). Shows constant location service notification in Android 8.
You can't customize phone notifications through the app. In fact, you can't do much or anything through the app as it makes you log into the website. I have occasional issues with controlling my security system through the app too and the one time I called abode I had to leave a voicemail and they didn't bother calling back. Also, the automations (which, surprise, you can't set through the app) are weak and are very limited with their conditions. Overall, I'm disappointed in the app and I really expected more from Abode overall in terms of granularity and support.
Please add resizable 2x2 event log, as well as 1x1 arm/disarm widgets! Also, can you guys look into presence sensors like smartthings? So much better than manually arming and disarming. Pleeeeeeeeeease
Nothing but trouble to report from this app since it's launch. Not only are features severely limited compared to the website, it also has a new set of bugs with every update. The latest: widget doesn't accurately update status and mobile notifications don't appear. I seriously need to consider another security system. I want to support what you're building, but there's only so many safety-compromising mistakes a user can be expected to tolerate when it comes to home security.
