# DozCalc

Free App

Rated 4.52/5 (23) —  Free Android application by acedev.com

DozCalc performs basic calculations using base 12 notation with the characters ∂ for the ten numeral ("dek") and ε for the eleven numeral ("el"). Learn to use base 12 and its advantages for calculations involving thirds, sixths, and twelfths as well as compact representation of large numbers.

Note: dozCalc does not do conversions between decimal and dozenal (base 12). It does everything in dozenal to encourage learning of base 12 numeration. If you want base conversions, this is not the right app for you.

The calculator includes memory functions (Store and Recall), three levels of correction (C=Clear All, CE=Clear Error, <= clears last digit.) Multiply, divide, add, subtract and change sign.

Accuracy is not guaranteed suitable for any particular purpose. This is intended only as an educational tool. Accuracy is believed to be comparable to an inexpensive four function decimal calculator.

No ads, no special permissions required. Just a slightly odd calculator. :)

Any chance you could add the option of different symbols for dek and el? Such as inverted 2 or stylised X for dek? Thanks

D70%
by D####:

the calculator iss great but I would like it better if it were a scientific calculator (in dozenal)

V70%
by V####:

I'm not completely sold on base 12's usefulness in my life, but its a lot of fun to mess around with and this calculator makes it really easy to learn.

U70%
by U####:

This is a great way to mess with your base-ten-only friends. It'd also very useful for making division by 3 without infinite decimals.

I70%
by I####:

This is great learning tool for anyone curious about the base 12 system. You can play around with it and see what you come up with. Really makes you think about how crappy the decimal system is.

T70%
by T####:

Seems to be working fine

L70%
by L####:

It does basic calculations. Would give more stars if it could do more complicated calculations like exponents, square roots, sine, etc.
