Backup S7E to my pc works okay, but the new backup to NAS doesn't appear to add any files to the NAS (Qnap). Acronis reply to this review says files on the NAS are invisible which is incredible, how can anyone trust a backup that produces invisible files? I have asked how to delete these files and so far have only received an acknowledgement so I guess the app doesn't work for NAS.

S70%
by S####:

Kinda useless if you use Google backup as it backups more then Acronis client. QNAP installer does not support SSL. QNAP wireless does not support hidden SSID. May try later when QNAP updates wireless functionality.

R70%
by R####:

Could Acronis be slower? At this rate, it will take a week for the backup to finish - which is hardly a practical solution. It feels like I am back to the dial-up days.

R70%
by R####:

Has potential, but needs LOTS of work. To start with, it doesn't display in Landscape on tablets so you have to look at it sideways. It backs up your calendars, photos, and contacts (in .vcf format); but it ignores all your documents, downloads, and other user data files, which are just as important.

R70%
by R####:

Great app to backup data encrypted to QNAP NAS. Would be great if we can choose also apps and folders to backup in feature!

R70%
by R####:

It tries to backup when I'm not connected to WiFi, even though I have set "connection for backup" to "WiFi Only". I don't want to disable the automatic backup, as it is one of the most essential features in the app.

Q70%
by Q####:

Can't view computer backups, they don't appear!

Works exactly as I expect.

L70%

I love this solution

U70%
by U####:

Both the cloud and local backup options work flawless. Not sure why there are so many bad ratings. Edit: I set up encryption, & after initial backup (with countless errors, havong to hit retry 3 times until it succeeded) it always fails and cant get it to backup. When my data changes, now only only way to backup is delete it, and start from scratch. Nexus 6P latest android update. Im using backup to computer

Needs to have the sync feature on the mobile app.

R70%
by R####:

Fast backup but files are not viewable from this app or desktop Acronis. Error Msg on desktop, spinning with nothing on Android. I opened a support ticket, but no response as of this review. App is basically useless

R70%
by R####:

Very limited. Only backed up a few selected parts of my phone, can't back up vital data from other apps/ folders. Convenient to use so could be good, but isn't as yet.

R70%
by R####:

Totally worthless. Can't backup files I NEED backed up (PDF'S, Documents, Spread Sheets, Data Base files, Password Manager etc.)

E70%
by E####:

Quick backup solution with encryption, seems more secure than google drive. This is nowhere near a 5 star product. As a paid subscriber, I expect to have granular control over what is backup, there should be exclusions, all files and/or selected files and/or directories must be user selectable vs the vague common system this is.... for that I'm disappointed moreover I cannot fathom the concept of why pdfs and word documents are not included - unfrkin real, but only recommend due to encryption...

Constantly getting "an error occured, try again in a minute". Reinstalled, tried different networks and still nothing. 2 weeks, no backups.

R70%
by R####:

I've been trying to get it to work for 3 months. It just keeps saying "...error, try again..."

N70%
by N####:

It is permanently try to connect to server. I have disabled continuous backup but it still continues. Will reinstall and if the same problem arises I will remove it.

S70%
by S####:

Umm, please give this app permissions to not only read but modify my text messages so I can actually do a successful restore.

I70%
by I####:

This app doesn't work on Samsung Note 5 - keeps coming up with an error message.

S70%
by S####:

Does not backup to Synology NAS when it is set to forward all http requests to https. (Therefore not SSL compatible) Do not get QR code. I will not disable for one application. The built in backup and reset on Android does the job as well if not better.

R70%
by R####:

Backs up only a few types of data. Cannot select folders to backup. Does not back up music or sound folders. Very limited. Simplicity should not be confused with lack of choices. If you wanted it simple then back up everything. Cannot backup across subnet. Any plans to add more file types or select folders for backups?

I can t back up Android file system partition on my nas using like I can do for windows desktop version ( true Inge 2016)Don't know if having a rescue USB iso otg storage device make sense under Android to install the remote partition I backup !

R70%
by R####:

It's OK. Backup is slow when it does work. And recently since the Android 7 update it is no longer backing up data. Have a support to ticket in for that.

R70%
by R####:

Not at all useful, since all of our desktops/backup drives are connected to an Ethernet network, not to our wireless network which we maintain only for a pad.

F70%
by F####:

Lame nothing like a true backup i use bittorent sync to get all my files not just media

R70%
by R####:

Decent but useless since Google already backs up everything this app claims to back up (OK, not the SMS).

R70%
by R####:

Drains battery, even in manual it still will try to connect, uninstalled. I like the desktop version, not the mobile version.

As with everything Acronis, the app is just a front end to lure you into its paid for cloud service. Many of the promised cloud features don't work on other systems. The latest version can't even recognise when it is connected to a WiFi network that holds your own backups. It just keeps trying to backup wherever you are. Better to look elsewhere.

R70%
by R####:

When it works it's OK. Unfortunately most of the time I get a permanent notification that it's trying to connect. It needs to be much smarter about connecting, detecting failure and reconnecting. More scheduling options would be good, too, not just continually and manual.
