About AirWatch Samsung ELM Service
AirWatch introduces a service application for Samsung enterprise ready devices. This application is a “plug-in” application that should only be installed and used in combination with enrollment of the AirWatch Agent. It allows for additional MDM capabilities described below that only pertain to Samsung devices.
This service application utilized the Enterprise License Management (ELM) key implemented by Samsung.
Depending on the AirWatch MDM console version you are using, please follow these steps to deploy to your Samsung device:
If using a 6.1 console or older:
1. You must first download, install, open and activate the Samsung Service
2. Then, download install the AirWatch MDM Agent available in the Google Play
3. You may now enroll like normal and the Samsung features will be activated
If using a 6.1 SP1 console or greater:
1. You must download, install the AirWatch MDM Agent available in the Google Play
2. You may now enroll like normal and the Samsung Service will be pushed to your device during enrollment

Breaks out of Samsung Knox and gives itself device administration rights. Airwatch permissions should not extend outside Knox. The whole point of Knox is to prevent corporate IT messing with private host device and visa versa.

If your work requires this DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO KEEP FROM DOWNLOADING IT. Even if it means not receiving work emails at all. It's will ruin your phone. I wanted to back out when I found out it can WIPE YOUR PERSONAL DEVICE at will. It will not let you deactivate it. Once you download you are done for.

Worked fine from 5/16 until 10/16 on my S7 edge. Then Home and recent apps buttons locked out. Couldn't remove ANY apps, or this, or reset phone to factory. Safe mode didn't help. Only way to remove was recovery mode. (google it). Emailed developer. no response.

I wish that our reviews actually affected its use, but since it's only used because of corporate policy, our reviews are useless. That said, it's a terribly programmed, buggy app that sucks the battery life right out of your phone and randomly disables the home and recent apps buttons. Sad!

What is the point of this being a plug-in? I have to update this a couple times a month and I only know I have to do that because my corporate IT apps randomly stop working. I get no notice from Airwatch that it needs to be done. We're not allowed to turn on auto-update which would fix the problem. Very poor implementation!
