Update5: It took a lot of steps to figure out how to get my phone's stock app to remove your app from the sleep/app list. Update 4: This is the last time and you even admit you missed an alarm with a screen. It is your job to ensure functionality with device software to bypass do no disturb settings, etc. Previous: For alarm features it is great, setting up daily changes in schedule for complex schedules, etc.

Edit: 12/22/17 update fixes my issue. Changing my rating back to five stars. Easily the best alarm, timer, stop watch in the play store! I love this App, but the recent update now has my Android 8.0 device persistently indicating that the app is running in the background. It's super annoying. Once an update roles that corrects the issue, I'll edit my rating.

Teresa AVG, I do not have any booster/optimizer app installed. My phone upgraded to Oreo a month ago and the app has started missing alarms. Please let me know how I fix this on Oreo? ==== Review ==== Alarm keeps getting missed and crashing ever since my phone upgraded to Oreo! Very bad! I missed waking up on a lot of days. Used this app for several years, and it never lets me down. Had a problem with Oreo thinking that it was using battery, but that's been fixed.

Good app which I use regularly but this latest update made it use up my battery and almost left me without a phone half way through my day so I'm not happy with it at the moment and will not be using it again until fixed.

EDIT: the issue is fixed, thank you. The latest update keeps application running in the background, I assume that will heavily drain my battery. Google Pixel, 8.0.0, issue still exists after updating to Android 8.1.0. Are there any plans to fix this or shall I just uninstall?

Good app but keeps giving me failure "exception" errors. I tried the fixes that I found online but they didn't work. I can't risk being late to work. Going back to stock alarm clock.

Latest update - WAKE LOCK DRAIN: "JobExecutor" with over 4,200 wake locks within 8 hours. Please fix this. Android 4.4.4, Galaxy 5 Active.

Fixed! Life is good again. Great app, love it. Absolutely can't function (on time, at least) without it.

A deal's a deal... you fixed the Oreo 8.0 notification bug, you get your five stars back.

Lots of great features, like waking up to a random song in your phone and solving a capcha to dismiss the alarm (for those who tend to over-snooze).

Great but... far too easy to remove an important alarm by involuntarily sweeping a finger across the display.. must absolutely fix this for making this app reliable..

I have used this the paid version of this app for a looong time and I love it... however, I have all my alarms set to snooze by hitting the volume buttons, but since I got the note 8 a few days ago, that fuction doesn't work for me anymore. It is still set for that, just doesn't do anything when I hit the volume buttons =( any suggestions AVG labs? If you can tell me how to fix this I'll change my rating to 5 stars because I really do think this is a great app. Just frustrated with the snooze situation.

Lose the ads, now. I paid for it, I don't want to wake up to see the AVG website open! For your paying customers, don't do anything but run. No "try this" and make extra sure browser stays shut too. Just now I try to edit an alarm, and I get another ad " Don't you love your alarm click? Let everybody know". Get rid of that, I just want to use your app and not "share" or "let everybody know".

I have used this alarm app now for many years it is great! I like everything about it... The ease of use, vacation mode, the many ways to snooze, Auto snooze, Auto dismiss. The alarm app works for what I need. 6 of 5 stars! But here in this last app update when my phone updated also, the alarm clock is constantly force quit, and alarms are not going off. this is a huge problem and I have missed and and been late because of this. please, I know you are aware of this issue but I need an alarm clock I can trust. I look forward to your prompt resolution in fixing this problem.

I use it every day, making you do sums is such a fantastic idea.. Edit: i have been using this app for 4 years now, still wakes me up every day and so the best alarm app.. Still 5 stars.. Edit 2: constantly getting a notification staing the app is running in the background, happening about 2 weeks now and getting quite annoying, strongly considering changing the alarm app I have used for years and don't want to have to do that..

I'm using a Google pixel and I can't get rid of banner saying it's running in the background. I turned off notification dot but it's still showing. I've been uninstalling and reinstalling the app for days now. This has been going on for weeks. When are you going to fix this problem?

I use this app everyday, sometimes throughout the day, it's super helpful for making me wake up! (And effectively stops me from turning off the alarm when I just want to snooze it). It would be nice if I could set the location for the weather part of "my day". Especially since it doesn't take into account GPS even when I turn it on.

Great app. It's saved me from oversleeping a few times. It's really funny how bad I am at math when I'm half asleep. I don't buy a ton of apps especially if there is a free version, but I had to buy this one in appreciation of the hard work and thought that has been put into this app. It's been a jobsaver for me. I also like that they keep adding new features that keep making a great app even more useful.
