This application is a web server application for android which is a tool for web developers, include:
- LIGHTTPD as Web Server ,
- PHP as PHP Server ,
- MYSQL as MySQL Server ,
- PhpMyAdmin as MySQL Client , and
- MSMTP as SMTP Client
It all wrapped into one application called Bit Web Server. So easy to run on android device, just single click then you can run web applications with PHP scripts and MySQL database.
This application is specially designed for mobile and tablet, so this application requires very small memory.
For running this application the first time after you download it from Google Play Store the Internal memory in your device should not be less than 50MB. Because this application does not download any data after installation finish, all data is wrapped into (apk).
This application runs without an internet connection, requires the Internet only when the first time to check the license, after this application has a legitimate license then this application can run without the Internet connection (OFFLINE).
The Bit Web Server can run a variety of CMS like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, Prestashop, etc. Besides CMS can also run PHP frameworks like Code Igniter, YII, CakePHP, etc.
This app same like WAMP or LAMP or XAMPP on your computer or laptop, but this is for android device.

App has worked like a charm on all my devices, until I upgraded to Oreo. Doesn't seem to work under Oreo. Perhaps the developer or users can respond to this. Maybe it's just the permissions that are required under Oreo. Too bad. Otherwise, a superb product.

Great app! Fyi I had a problem with it sleeping every time the app wasnt open - turned out to be phone power saving mode. I was on the verge of blaming the app but it was my fault! The app is fantastic :)

Doesn't connect to localhost on my rooted infinix x551 lollipop device. I will give 5 stars if its fixed. It shows error page like it wanna connect to main Internet The server is running but it still shows error page

Update killed it. Servers don't work and I can no longer update the root dir, even by directly editing the lighttpd config file. Please fix for a higher rating, thanks.

After trying a few http server stacks on android and feeling the disappointment of slow SQL queries I came across this one. Downloaded, installed and configured the Web server and an instance of Drupal 7 including database and permissions within an hour on the bus! Drupal development, uncached page requests coming fast and smooth. I am not familiar with lighttpd settings so some exploring to do in terms of v hosts etc. But would very much recommend.

From my point of view, this is the best web server for Android. Easy setup and features rich. With the latest update, I was able move the complete web site in my HTC device to the external SD memory card to save internal memory, but I am wondering how the developer was able to get write permission because the no-root HTC devices allow only the built-in file manager to have write access the external SD memory card.

Ive actually been using this web server on my phone for quite a long bit now and have never really had any problems with it at all!! Very impressing.. the memory and the battery usage is actually low. I do 100 % recommend you downloading and trying it! I have went for it and bought it, never regreted it because i have lots of fun with it and i get to try my ideas on the road ! Only thing i wished for was an apache http server and python capabilities for web development!

Easy to install and run Tikiwiki V14.2. Tikiwiki is just releasing V15.0 which requires PHP to use the INTL option. Could this be added to it, please.

I opened PhpMyAdimin, created a database and tried to import a mySql script I had exported from database of the same name from my laptop, to create the tables. This app could not. It complained of 'utf8..' not recognised. Hope I've not wasted my money.
