ZOO FM BATAM

Radio Ramako Batam yang sekarang dikenal dengan nama radio 101.6 Zoo FM merupakan radio yang tergabung dalam Ramako Group (Mustang FM, Kis FM & Lite FM di Jakarta serta Batam FM dan Zoo FM di Batam)‏

Pada tanggal, 11 Maret 1987 Radio Ramako Batam mulai mengudara, pertama dan satu-satunya radio siaran swasta nasional di kota Batam yang berlokasi di Bukit Nagoya Hotel Batam.

Kemudian pada bulan September 1988 pindah lokasi ke gedung milik sendiri yang bertempat di Jl. Kolonel Soegiono, Tanjung Pinggir Sekupang – Batam dengan mempergunakan teknologi standar broadcast international dan mempergunakan jasa konsultan dari luar negeri.

Pada tgl. 11 Maret 1989, Radio Ramako Batam diresmikan oleh Wakil Presiden RI, Bpk. Soedharmono, SH sebagai radio siaran swasta nasional di kota Batam.

Karena berlokasi diatas bukit yang dikelilingi hutan serta masih banyaknya hewan liar berkeliaran disekitar lokasi, maka radio Ramako Batam berubah nama menjadi Zoo FM dengan motto The Amazing Station dan mengudara pada frekwensi FM 101.6 Mhz. Musik yang diusung Contemporary Hits Radio (CHR).

Sampai saat ini radio 101.6 Zoo FM masih cukup populer tidak hanya di kota Batam dan Kepulauan Riau, tetapi juga di negeri Singapore dan Malaysia.
