arabozo had studied Economics at the University of California in Berkley and in Davis and holds a Bachelors degree in the same field from Berkley and holds a Master's Degree in the same field from Davis.

He left his Ph.D. studies to pursue Islamic studies, and has been active in this area ever since.

He was the Imam of the Islamic Center of Boulder, Colorado. Currently he is based in the Bay Area California and teaches Islamic and Arabic Language classes from the Muslim Community Association of the San Francisco Bay Area and from Masjid An-Nur Islamic Center in Sacramento.
