El Puente

The scents and flavors of my grandparents’ backyard, highly affected the course of my childhood. It wasn’t until much later, when I began travelling that I realized that these characteristics do not exist only in this little island that was named after copper. After some time living in Spain I managed to comprehend the connection of the Mediterranean cuisine, the Spaniard love for Ron, and therefore their connection to the Latin world. These three elements in combination with the romanticism of a childhood backyard, created “a bridge” in my mind between these three worlds. My own bridge. My own legacy. My “El Puente”.
