This book, Auto-Electric Repairs Explained of which there's also a companion DVD by the same title, is a dedicated work centered in automotive electric diagnostics. 99% of the auto-repair duties for an auto technician will be of the electric nature, not necessarily electronics. Electronic is also a part of auto repairs, but covered on another couse-manual-DVD by the same author. This book concentrates on the techniques relevant to repairing open and short circuits on actuators, such as motors, power feed, grounds, and other electrical faults.

Techniques such as current ramping, voltage drop, scope usage, sound tracing, current draw test and many others are covered. This book and our other electronics courses 1 & 2 are a must have for any tech or DIY interested in delving into the world of electric and electronic auto repair.
