About Autoharp

This app works like a real autoharp. Push one of the chord buttons and strum ... that's all there is to it!

Autoharp uses high-quality audio samples and matches its volume to your strumming speed for realistic playback. It also includes options to show the active strings, or keep your chord buttons pressed, to make playing easier.

The phone version uses a condensed interface with proportionally larger buttons. The tablet version uses a realistic, full autoharp interface, and also includes a zoom mode for easier button control.

To see how the app works before you buy it, to send feedback or to request help, please visit http://www.autoharpapp.com.

PLEASE NOTE: The Android version includes the same core functionality as the iOS version, but does not yet include digital effects, custom layouts or MIDI.

PLEASE NOTE: This app is tested on a variety of devices before each release. If you experience a problem on your device, please email me (from the link on my website) so I can look into it. I reply to all emails promptly, but I have no way to contact users who post bug reports or feature requests in the reviews section.

Works on a ASUS C100PA-DB02 10.1-inch Touch Chromebook Flip 1.8GHz, 4GB Memory, 16GB eMMC .Plays very nicely and is easy to use on it. I"m not an autoharp player so I don't know how it is supposed to work or be played but maybe this will let me learn without having to buy an autoharp until I see if I like it or not.

Really beautiful and realistic sound to it. I already have started writing simple songs with it. Standard 15 buttons are a bit too small but things work better on tablets.

As of october 2015 this app still does not work on samsung note 10. strings are sporadic and getting to the settings not possible. If you have android fogetaboutit. The refund is a hastle on top of that.

What gives? When did you start selling a product that doesn't work? Tell me this is a bad joke! And, maybe I'll find it funny one day.

This app really sucks. It is nearly impossible to push 1button at a time, because they are too small. No matter what you push, it sounds out of tune.

Nothing to say, but....HORRIBLE!!! COULDN'T EVEN ACCESS SETTING'S!!! don't waste your time!!! Nice idea though...need someone smart enough to make app functional!!! Just saying!!!

I really wanted an autoharp/omnichord type app, but this one isn't it. It fails at registering most strums, and there's no option to just play a chord omnichord-style. the latter I can ofcourse forgive, but the former makes this unusable. Additionally the interface is cut off/wraps around, it doesn't go fullscreen, and I'm missing the zoom buttons.

This demonstrates the concept, but there is so much more potential. What I would really like to see is more like an all-software touch screen version of Suzuki's Q-Chord/Omnichord. Don't need the drums or accompaniment, but a full set of chords, and various voicings for the strum plate (piano, guitar, violin, etc). Plus bigger chord buttons, fine strumming/picking/tapping control, design aimed at larger tablets. Any interest in taking it to the next level? I for one would be willing to pay well for it...

Plus, it's always in tune & you can virtually leave the chord button pressed. I've been a big fan of the iPad version of this app & have wanted it on my Android phone. I have used the app to practice songs on the autoharp, & amazingly it feels like that experience helps prepare me to use the real thing or could even be a temporary substitute if I don't have a physical autoharp in hand. Great job! This would be a great app for music teachers, students, nursing homes, & for anyone curious about the autoharp.
