JM Robert

JM ROBERT commence la peinture très jeune en imitant les effets de patine, de salissure et de dégradation qu'il observe sur les façades d'immeubles. Après avoir suivi des études dans les Métiers d'Arts en graphisme et décor ou il a notamment appris les techniques professionnelles du trompe l'oeil, il fait ses expériences picturales en s'inspirant successivement du Pop Art, du Street Art.
Progressivement il a élaboré son propre style qu'il sait avoir suffisamment abouti il y a 3 ans pour commencer à exposer sa création.
Dans un graphisme incisif et percutant, il dessine façon pochoir des visages sur les fonds abstraits qui reprennent les effets dégradés, détériorés des murs urbains.

Mais si les ruines sont en général riches d'émotions contradictions, complexes, JM ROBERT veut que sa peinture parle un langage contemporain tel qu'il s'exprime sur les murs de nos villes. Il était alors inévitables qu'il s'intéresse aux créations des graffeurs dont le langage pictural est fort en direct. Dans leur création, l'objectif est de laisser une marque qui en un instant, doit attraper le regard des passants. Avec la technique du pochoir, cette trace devient celle d'une présence éphémère. Et par sa peinture, JM ROBERT cherche à saisir cette présence, forte et brève, percutante d'un regard, d'un visage féminin anonyme qui témoigne lui aussi de notre époque.

De même avec sa palette de couleurs très flashy qui contraste violemment avec le noir du graphisme par lequel il saisit au vol cette expression si particulière des visages féminins tels qu'il les esquisse sur les collages et ses toiles.
Après quelques participations à des expositions collectives, il amorce en ce printemps 2012 une nouvelle étape: Il rentre en galerie à Paris et prépare sa propre exposition, également à Paris, en novembre à la Galerie Batignolles Art's-35 rue La Condamine Paris 17ème. Puis le circuit institutionnel lui ouvre ses portes au printemps 2013. After several participations in group exhibitions, he began in the spring of 2012 a new step: He returned to gallery in Paris and prepares its own exhibition, also in Paris, in November at the Batignolles Art's Gallery, 35 rue La Condamine Paris 17th. And the institutional circuit opens its doors in spring 2013.
