Frustrating UI makes it difficult to know you are downloading the correct tiles for your area. Tiles should overlay on an existing map. Downloaded tiles show as a list without any useful indication where they are. I recommend to just use the free maps.

Pretty useless. In-app purchases MIGHT make this app useful but considering all the other app options, I wouldn't waste my money. Not user friendly. Lacks useful information.

by T####:

The app does everything you'd expect of a walking / cycling GPS system - it allows you to create and display routes and tracks and it shows you where you are. There are user configurable displays to provide useful data about things like how far you've gone and when you're going to arrive. Routes can also be created via a web browser and downloaded to your Android / iOS / Symbian devices (as many as 4 at a time). Several useful free maps are available, though I prefer to pay for the 25K OS maps. The paid maps are available as sets or they can be downloaded a tile at a time and the cost deducted from your pre-paid credit. Just as important as the functionality, the software is being actively developed and the support is first rate!

Very useful, but the occasional silly quirk, eg it sometimes turns upside-down. On the whole it's great, and being able to buy OS maps in small units means I can always have up to date versions.

I'm using that application over a few years and i love it. You can go to amazing places which you couldn't be there except if you don't know them from elsewhere. The only advice that i can give to develaper team is to mark trails with some diferent colours based on their difficulties. Great application!

T70%

You have no idea how bad it pisses me off that the USGS topo maps are a paid feature. I'd be happier with a nag screen asking for a donation. Holding public information hostage? Kiss my a...

This app has some way to go as far as ease of use and intuitive flow is taken into consideration. There are a lot of options available. Getting started is clumsy at best while finding things can be a challenge. There are too many steps to achieve a result (thus not intuitive). The user manual is a must for the first timer. Unfortunately the manual is not well organized. The NEW option of being able to link a photo to a track is implemented poorly with the need for either a Flickr or Twitter link which cannot be done without an internet connection: It should be on the device itself where the photo is likely to reside.

Love it. Use 1:25000 for walking and am confident of not getting lost. You only pay for the tiles you need, but over the years I have built up quite a good coverage of the areas I mostly go to. Also enjoy the year long motivation of the walking challenge.

I had been putting up with navigating software on various platforms for around 10 years starting with an 80286 and on through Palm OS / Symbian. This one on Android was the first one that chimed with me. OK, you're off to a good start when you have familiar OS maps, but the interface was the most intuitive that I had experienced thus far. When something does work, it's easier to justify paying out YET AGAIN for all the maps that you've acquired over the years and desire the convenience of portability. Update: after a couple of dubious changes to the user interface, I find myself back on track. (pun intended). It would be of great benefit if you could copy and paste downloaded route instructions that are in another language so they could then be translated on-line. Otherwise, this app is truly the shiznitz. Update: remove a data munching region in Spain (and I assume elsewhere) and then replace with just some of the tiles you actually need covered by that region and ta-da! you get charged again for maps you already "own". Can't give five stars for that albeit unintended "scam".

Excellent app which encourages you to keep up your daily exercise. Never ceases to thrill when watching your walk appearing on OS map. Improves safety as you know just where you are in remote terrain.

According to the developer the beta version of this application should support Google Fit sync. Which did not do!!! So here we go I am trying the regular version to see if it will support Google Fit sync? Oh by the way cannot change storage directory under Android 6, audio you do you have the setting What's the point of it? Please swap the zoom buttons to the reverse order left to right or right to left. So it follows the Google Maps standard when zooming.

Very disappointed. If you have an annual subscription to OS maps, this app will not use your maps. You can buy maps through the app, but why would you if you have an annual subscription to OS? The sales detail says you can use OS maps, but only if you buy through this app. That's misleading. It doesn't matter how many nice details the app has, if it makes me buy maps twice, it isn't for me.
