Το μυθιστόρημα έχει ως πρωταγωνιστή τον Τζόνι, έναν πολλά υποσχόμενο γοητευτικό τριαντάρη με σπουδές, φιλοδοξίες και όνειρα, που πολύ γρήγορα έμελλε να διαψευσθούν. Μαζί με αυτά θα ξεθωριάσουν και οι ανθρώπινες σχέσεις, οι βασισμένες στην υποκρισία και την κατ' επίφαση αλήθεια. Ο ήρωας βιώνοντας την απογοήτευση και τον ανεκπλήρωτο έρωτα για μια γυναίκα, θα απομονωθεί αναζητώντας την ουσία μέσα από μια βασανιστική ενδοσκόπηση και αυτοκριτική. Στη νέα του ζωή, στη σκοτεινή πλευρά της πόλης, θα αποκτήσει παράδοξους φίλους και συμπαραστάτες: την Γιοβάννα, μια μυστήρια ηλικιωμένη γειτόνισσα, τον Τζο, έναν πνευματώδη ανάπηρο επαίτη των φαναριών, και τον Γιαννάκη, έναν ζωηρό πεντάχρονο μπόμπιρα. Η τυχαία ανακάλυψη ενός κρυμμένου χειρογράφου θα φέρει την ανατροπή, καθώς θα του εμπνεύσει μια ιδέα που θα αλλάξει την κοινωνία...

O Γιάννης Φαρσάρης γεννήθηκε στην Ιεράπετρα το 1973. Σπούδασε Επιστήμη Υπολογιστών στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης και Εκπαίδευση Ενηλίκων στο Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο. Ζει στο Ηράκλειο Κρήτης και εργάζεται ως Καθηγητής Πληροφορικής.
Από το 1999 δημοσιεύει διηγήματα και κείμενα για το διαδίκτυο σε περιοδικά και εφημερίδες, ενώ μετέχει στην Ομάδα Έκδοσης της εφημερίδας «Τέταρτο Μάτι» [www.4mati.gr]. Το “Johnnie Society” είναι το πρώτο του μυθιστόρημα.

Along with these will fade and human relations, based on hypocrisy and sham truth. The hero experiencing frustration and unfulfilled love for a woman seeking to isolate the substance through a harrowing introspection and self-criticism. In his new life, the dark side of the city will acquire bizarre friends and supporters: the Giovanna, a mysterious elderly neighbor, Joe, a witty crippled beggar lanterns, and Giannakis, a lively five year old tot. The accidental discovery of a hidden manuscript will bring overthrow, and will inspire an idea that will change society ...
 
John O Farsaris born in Ierapetra in 1973. Studied Computer Science at the University of Crete and Adult Education in Greek Open University. He lives in Heraklion and works as a Teacher.
Since 1999 published short stories and texts on the internet in magazines and newspapers, while participating in Group Publication of the newspaper "Fourth Eye» [www.4mati.gr]. The "Johnnie Society" is his first novel.
