About Data Sharing - Tethering
Control and share your Internet connection of your smartphone with your laptop, tablet or another smartphone.
Data Sharing is a WiFi hotspot and tethering management and control app. No more surprises while sharing your mobile data and exhausting without realizing about it. Share knowing your mobile data consumption and avoid spent more than you want by setting your desired limits.

Usage:
To share via WiFi hotspot:
Open the app, an tap on the start button, and following tap the WiFi AP button. Once the WiFi hotspot was activated, search the WiFi name on the device you want to connect to. If you don't know the name, you can check it inside the Tethering settings menu option and then in WiFi hotspot settings. In addition, that settings allow you to configure the password and other wifi settings. Now you can use any of your devices to connect to new created WiFi hotspot.
To share via Bluetooth:
Open the app, an tap on the start button, and following tap the Bluetooth button. Now goto to system Bluetooth settings and choose the device you want to share the mobile data with and pair it with your device (don't forget to activated the shared data check).
To share via USB:
Install your device usb drivers, connect your laptop via an USB cable and open the app. Tap on the start button, and, following, tap the USB button. If your device is not rooted, system tethering settings will be opened. Enable USB tethering from there. Your device is now tethering over USB.

In Xioami MIUI devices, you must enable Auto Start for proper functioning of Data Sharing App. To do this, go to the Security app provided by Xiaomi> Permissions>Autostart and allow Data Sharing to auto start.

Promising app, but the problems ruin it. The paid functions don't really work, so save your money. Counts data transferred between connected devices towards the limit, even though this uses no mobile data (oddly this is even counted as downloaded data even though sending from phone). Also, limit fails to kick in sometimes. I wanted to use this to keep track of my tethered data usage and to limit daily usage. Unfortunately, this does not work in my case as I am often transferring files between devices and this wrongly counts that towards the limit.

Seem like a good app, if it worked. As of right now it does not seem to work the way it is supposed to. When I turn on the hotspot from the app, it launches the native hotspot app. After that it does nothing else. My devices can connect to it, and the native hotspot app tracks those devices but the Data Sharing app does not.

I was hoping I would be able to one-touch disable WiFi Hotspot via the app or widget, as well. I can enable the Hotspot perfectly, but I am forced to do the long way around to turn it off.

My connection becomes really slow when others use my data via WiFi Hotspot. Especially when they download something. So if you can add capability to limit bandwidth speed available to connected devices when tethering, we can enjoy browsing on our phones without hiccups. Please add this feature very soon. Update: I have root. Many people have. Please give an update soon.

The only thing that I expect in the next update is that the option to block devices connected to our hotspot ....the option is there in this also but it's like in form of limitations of data ....in this case this limitation of data apply to all devices connected not only for specific one ....I want the specific one pls ...:)

Seems to be working well, I still need to purchase pro version to test it. The UI is smooth and simple, several features missing that would require rooted device options. I believe it's 5 stars for design/simplicity, but 3.5 stars due to no root features. Again I didn't find anything better on the market (yet) so very easily a 4 but almost a 5... We WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL to have an option to enable the pro feature for 2-3 minute increments to test it out on our device a couple times before purchasing...

The app is good, it looks good and is very easy to use. But it lacks the functionality of turning hotspot on an off at automatically at given times of the day, I would love to be able to have the hotspot automatically on at 9am and off at 5pm Monday to Friday for example...please add this function.

I'm rooted and I know most android user are. I hope you can add these in your future updates if can be: 1) hotspot access restriction 2) bandwidth allocation/restriction 3) scheduled access 4) fix the notification sound, won't silent even set to none (more of a bug fix). Willing to pay again if you can add these feats. Lookin forward.

When I click WiFi or Bluetooth is brings me to a page in my settings that says "WiFi Hotspot and Tethering" and says nothing else, it's a empty page. So I don't know what I'm supposed to do?...

Just downloaded this and it seems it will do what I want. However, I would like to see a widget that simply toggles the hotspot without bringing the app to the front or anything.

I don't usually rate apps. But when I do I mean it. This app let me see the devices connected to my wifi hotspot which my phone's MIUI doesn't let to do. Great app!

It adds a big feature missing on Nougat, devices connected to hotspot. Really handy and makes me less paranoid about only having a password as security. I love the active notification while hotspot is enabled. It would be amazing if it were able to allow devices access only after manually accepting them.
