Every app has a different power consumption and some rouge apps can stay awake and drain your battery power rapidly. To avoid this , open the app and it will show you which apps are using the most power and you can stop them or further remove them if not being used at all.
Your battery life is the most important part of your device since it being off doesnt do anything for you.
Keep a close eye on the tasks that quickly deplete your power and take action.

open the app, select tab that shows which apps or tasks are using the most battery and thats all.
Note that you might want to run this app towards the end of the battery life to see which ones are doing the most damage to it. Since running the app right after a full charge will not yield much important data.
