Family Bee

Great little app that saves lugging a laptop to the library. Just reinstalled to a new phone which doesn't seem to show settings or menu - Samsung J3.

Idea great but can't use properly as cannot see a menu button on Samung S5 or a tablet I have so functions not visible.

Simple and effective way to take record of family history while researching away from home. Easy to use and quick.

Have used it across mobile and tablet for years. Excellent way to keep your family history and show others.

why is it that when I get an update all my gedcom files are deleted????

If you are having problems: 1) read the instructions, 2) contact the developer. He does reply and he does fix problems! Note especially HOW you export Gedcom for use by this app and you will have no problems. It works on both my old and new Nexus. Update: developer helped and up and running once again!

Tells me to use menu to locate GEDCOM file, only there is no menu :-(

Tried to download my gedcom several different ways and finally succeeded with sending it as an email attachment, opened the attachment and it loaded! I haven't used it very much, but it seems to have what I need while away from home doing research. All my facts and notes from FamilyTree Maker are on the tablet. I have a Samsung tablet and the button to open the menu was not visible. Emailed the developer and he said to long press the recent program button, which worked after I figured out what he meant by "recent programs button"!

I liked the app on my older Android phones but was disappointed to find it hasn't been updated to no longer require a menu key. Menu key is absent in the Note 5

Menu, tree view, and lists cannot be displayed on my Samsung. However, the app is now working great after receiving very prompt help from the developer. A very nice app.

Needs a way to view what happened on this date in your family tree.

Have been using this app for many years with no problems. It has just enough bells and whistles. It is perfect for what I do.

Stopped loading data base. Can't find a way to resolve.

Unable to access menu on Samsung Galaxy S5, which means I can't load a GEDCOM file. Pity because I had it on previous phones and found it a very handy app

Pedigree view and Menu no longer work. I can load the gedcom and the family view works but nothing else. No editing either Gedcom is not copy to phone. loads straight from dropbox. No helpful is I'm offline

This app is very simple to use and really easy to update - just move a new gedcom file into the program's folder and it will be there to view next time you open up. I am happy to edit my database on my laptop and just view it on my other devices and Family Bee makes this convenient.

Excellent, fast gedcom reader. Now my genealogy info is available anywhere, with or without internet.

Great viewer - photos would improve it

Super app for viewing existing GEDCOM text. Would earn 5 stars if it showed photos too.

Would be really nice to be able to make edits that are tracked. Also would like to be able to attach existing pics and multiple pics to a note.

Installing, don't want to download anything from the website. I want my money back.

Works fine (HTC Evo) but a bit pricey for such a simple app. Photo support would be nice.

Excellent program that does exactly what promises. New update gives option to add notes and photos on-site & send to home computer via Gmail. Great!

Can't download gedocm to Nexus 7 and have it recognized. Can't Install it from an email attachment. Tried sending gedcom to URL listed in help section - doesn't exist anymore. Tried emailing developer for assistance. Mail returned because mailbox full. Unfortunately, no zero star rating available. Don't buy this app unless you have $10 to burn. If you do have $10 to burn, let me know and I'll take it. And I promise not to give you anything in return, unlike Family Bee.

You can store multiple GEDCOM files, very handy if you are working on working on more than one tree. Best genealogy App I've come accross, addfree, very happy

I used and loved FB for several years - but now it just doesn't work. My uncle is married to my husband's grandfather, my aunt to her grandmother and so on. My gedcom imports OK into other genealogy software, so I guess FB is corrupting it somehow, even after clean reinstalls and fresh gedcom. I'm missing it badly :( Solved this problem -my gedcom was being corrupted on creation, so FB is back on my favourite list!
