When saving, most of the time it wants to put everything that you typed as the filename. Easy fix!! Have it ask for a filename when selecting new first, and save it as such when done. I wrote a very long text and it wanted to save all 100 plus lines as the filename, and I refused to sit there for 30 minutes backspacing so I used another program and deleted this. Fix it and I'll support it.

Simple text editor, remembers path to current file, stores locally, no unreasonable permissions. Quite good. Thank!

There is NO option to create a new txt document!!! ONLY option is to open an existing txt document!!! ALL txt editors on the Android market suck and DON'T allow new documents to be created!!!!!

Striaght forward text editor. Using on Galaxy Tab 4 10. This app does allow the creation of new files. It is in the menu under new.

This text editor has a bug that is widespread on Android: it can't deal well with UTF-16 files! It treats the BOM as a character, so inserting text at the beginning of the file pushes it forward. Opening a UTF-16 without BOM makes the program mix up 8 bit chars with the 16 bit ones of the file.

I was typing something up and switched to look something up in a browser. I came back to the text editor and it had closed the document and there was no way to retrieve my changes. Not losing my documents is sort of a critical feature.
