About My Bright Day

My Bright Day will replace Bright Horizons’ traditional paper Daily Experience Sheets, allowing parents to access information about their child’s day via their smartphone or the web in real-time. Parents can also use My Bright Day to provide information about their child’s activities prior to arrival at the center; access previous Daily Reports, photos, or videos; and update their notification preferences. Bright Horizons centers will introduce My Bright Day on a rolling basis. If you have questions about when your center will introduce this new tool, please speak to your Center Director.

HOW IT WILL WORK:

At drop off:
Parents will access My Bright Day via their Android or iOS smartphone. Parents will enter the details typically provided via the paper Daily Experience Sheet including when their child woke up, last ate, was diapered/went potty, notes etc. Parents can do this while at the center, before arriving, or just after drop off.

Throughout the day:
Teachers will enter details of meals/bottles, diapers, naps, activities etc. Parents can login to the app at any time to see how their child’s day is going. Additionally, photos or videos taken during the day will be shared via the application, via email, or the web.

At the end of the day:
Your child’s Daily Experience Sheet will be emailed to you and made available on the app and the web. Parents will no longer need to remember to grab the paper sheet!

Accessing Memories:
On an ongoing basis, parents will be able to access a history of all past Daily Experience Sheets, photos, and videos. We hope that families will enjoy this convenient way to see how their child has grown and changed over time!

Crashes almost constantly. It's gotten to a point that I can barely use it, if at all.

M70%
by M####:

Very important app, but unreliable several times a month

M70%
by M####:

When it works, it is fine, but it is spotty at best.

O70%

This app is great when it works.

Q70%
by Q####:

Crashes frequently

by T####:

It's fine for basic sharing of information but I wish I could communicate back to teachers even after my child is checked in. It's very limiting. I also can't see messages that were sent from teachers on days when my child wasn't there and checked in. Needs some updates

M70%
by M####:

I like the concept, but something about how it handles logins is totally broken. It will give me notifications about pictures, videos, etc. that are very clearly meant for me, but it won't let me see them until I log in. It also won't let me log in. So essentially this app is worthless. I can't provide data to the teachers because I can't login, and any data that I might retrieve from the app gets emailed to me at the end of the day (fortunately).

M70%
by M####:

Crashes frequently and won't always let me input drop off information or log in

Q70%

Not stable. Cannot log in sometimes.

M70%

Cannot even login

The app fails to load with the recent update. It brings you to he sign in and just hangs there once you put in your credentials.

M70%
by M####:

The app functionality is pretty nice. However, it crashes every time I resume the app. My phone has to restart the app for it to work.

W70%
by W####:

Stopped working with latest update. Isn't great when it does work, but it's somewhat better than a piece of paper at the end of the day.

X70%
by X####:

I am frustrated that I need to re-login every time I want to check on my child, which I didn't have to do several weeks ago.

Stopped working today. Decent app when it works. Had to Uninstaller and reinstall.

We just love this app!!!

Whatever the latest update was has completely messed up this app! I got booted out, have to continually log in, & 90% of the time, it just churns "signing in," but never signs in. I've uninstalled & reinstalled it twice!? Very, VERY frustrated (I have a Samsung Galaxy 7Edge)

J70%
by J####:

Awesome idea but constantly freezes, and shuts down. I deleted app several times and redownloaded.. just downloaded it again.. gonna give it yet another chance.

H70%
by H####:

My daycare uses this, but it won't even complete the sign in process. Just spins. I've tried uninstall and reinstall, but nothing works. Really disappointing.

H70%
by H####:

Stability issues on Android. Also does not save passwords.

Y70%
by Y####:

Our daycare provider recently switched to this app from another. The app works fine and while some design elements are personal taste, I do like how it groups items (meals, sleep, diapers) together instead of the day in pure chronological order. I know a few folks complain of not getting notifications. I believe these have to be turned on in the settings menu. It probably needs to be changed to default on, so parents don't have to turn it on. The only real complaint I have with this app is the lack of 2 way communication between the parents and the provider. Surely this is an easy fix, and should be looked into. Even if it's just allowing parents to edit notes after dropoff.

Great concept, crashes a lot

M70%
by M####:

Great concept, especially for first time parents like me. Warning... this can become pretty addictive for people who are "attached at the phone". I would like to see a way for teachers to have a "your kid is feeling like this today" kind of emoticon. Also, I don't know if this is set up per daycare or what, but the updates take a long time to fetch and it fetches too often... there could definitely be a few performance improvements. Overall a great and simple way to keep you close to your baby/toddler.

N70%
by N####:

I do not get notifications even thought my settings are to receive them, on both the app and my phone. I've reached out to customer service multiple times and I never get a call back or a solution to the problem.

M70%
by M####:

A decent app when you don't really have a choice. It crashes every day, I submit a report with crash dumps to the developers, but it looks like nobody cares. As others mentioned, it started forgetting my password every day. With a "custom" login form and no way to save a password. Probably developers think it makes the app "secure". Well... Pictures cannot rotate, so the only option is to export them to google drive. It does not always work because of "privacy" issues. Well #2... the idea is excellent.

M70%

Something is wrong with this app. Frequently has massive slowdowns and almost daily it causes my phone to become totally unresponsive, required a forced restart. Devs--please try to resolve. We depend on this app.

M70%
by M####:

Frequently crashes. Would like communication from parent to teacher as an option. When it is working it's a 4 star.

W70%
by W####:

Worked great until latest update. Now can't get into it; I keep getting logged out and needing to reset password. Need a fix for this stat.

L70%

Pretty easy to use, runs nice. Love to see what my boys are doing throughout the day.

Z70%

Love getting pictures/videos and reports of what's going on at my daughters daycare. Unfortunately the app crashes a lot on my Nexus 5X, and after the first week refuses to keep me logged in.

U70%
by U####:

Decent app. However, will not save pictures and video to device on Galaxy S7. If it worked what would be the default directory? Downloads? Please improve this feature.

Z70%
by Z####:

With more than one child on the app each day my 2nd child listed doesn't update until late in the day even though I get notifications that they've done things.

Z70%
by Z####:

I have an iPhone for work and the app seems to function better than my s7. The contact field doesn't list me as an option for pick up, but has all 3 backups listed.

Z70%
by Z####:

Crashes in android.. Doesnt support screen rotation

I70%

The application has proved to be stable and I have run across no glitches.
