Home Connect

As many others have stated, manual (SAP) mode does not work in the Android app, you need a WiFi access point with WPS or an iPhone to be able to get your appliance connected to your home network. Customer service seems oblivious to this problem and insists that I'm typing in the wrong password.

I concur with other users who have experienced difficulties connecting their appliance to the app. I've not been able to connect using Android but have managed without any problems with iOS. And if the Customer Services team think that I will call an international phone number to resolve this issue, they must be living in cuckoo land. I'd rather jack this app. That's an unfortunate half hour of my life I won't get back. A bit like watching England play footie of late!

After the update it become impossible to connect my washing machine to WiFi. The app rejects user name and password as incorrect even though it is correct. I had to dig out old router with WPS to connect.

The app does not connect to the devices. While the iPhone app did it without problems. And the worst part: I had to admit that iPhone is better.

Initial setup is not working! Wifi PW is not accepted, though it is correct. Error code 1075

Has worked perfectly for 2 months now. UI isn't as clear as it could be but still really usable.

This app is a nightmare...technically speaking. Connecting dishwasher and dryer took me ages. No problem with a iPhone though. Many times I get an error that the server is not available or that there is another error. The only thing that helps is logging out and logging in again.

Not the best of starts. Emailed the feedback address on this page info.uk@ and it bounced with a mailbox not found error. Not really ideal start when considering a £700 purchase!

Not able to be connected, really sorry about it. You have to be honest about this Wi-Fi connection products.

This app seems to promise a good service, but it's not as good as I had hoped. After following all the steps, my Bosch dryer connected to the home WiFi immediately, but the Home Connect app on my new smart phone was simply not finding it, even after several attempts. My router was within 5-6 feet, and I stood with the phone in front of the dryer, yet the app could not find it. It was a waste of time. Very time-consuming, and unable to pair with the dryer, with error messages (while the dryer itself showed it was connected to the WiFi). After I exited out of Home connect and logged back in, it listed the dryer and my smart phone, but it did not give any sort of menu option with which to run the dryer, only to connect the dryer. I had to wonder if it couldn't find it, why was it being listed? Yet no buttons nor any sort of interface for any menu options whatsoever. This app is ambitious, and maybe it worked in beta, but it seems to me it still needs work.

Hard to connect I was able to connect to my fridge freezer fine before but for some reason it disappeared and now I have been trying g for 2 days and can't connect it . As soon as I try to find my frdge freezer my the app turns my WiFi off and says its offline .so frustrating why is it doing this.

I've been trying for hours to connect to a new oven, the process is absolutely torturous, the instructions are virtually non existent and I still haven't connected. I only have a degree in computer science, maybe I need a doctorate to get this working

The app looks good, does the job, I am pretty happy with it. However there is room for improvement in the navigation which is not always great.

Unreif und voll mit Bugs. Nicht gut durchgedacht. Schnell entwickelt ohne Funktionalitaet und Ergonomie zu testen: bsp. Für Geschirspüller kann man Tabs mit + eingeben aber wenn man sich vertun gibt es keine lösch/korektur Möglichkeit. Für Tablets andere Oberfläche als für Handy und die ist fehlerhaft. Das Anmeldeverfahren schwierig und ohne kenntnisse fast unmöglich. Usv. . . Schaded auch für Namen wie Siemens. Bis es Reif wird sollte man kein Gerätschaft mit HomeConnect sich zulegen

Well if you have internet through an access point without a wps function like Unifi... It doesn't work.

Can't connect the washing machine to WiFi. Dreadful app. Wish I'd seen these reviews before I bought it.

Would be great to be able to set the language inside the App instead of using the default Android language.

features look good. Unfortunately I can't activate the remote start functionality. everything tells me that the WAYH8790GB washing machine is connected to my WLAN & the Home Connect App. However, I am still unable to start the machine via the app. Sent an email from the Home Connect web site, but I've not had any response. very unhappy with the level of support.

Connection process is a disaster. When it's connected it seems to work well, though. So far so good.

Half an hour on and still no confirmation email. Can't run the app without it, don't care enough to wait longer.

I love the app. Works perfectly with my Siemens diswasher, dryer and washing machine! Sure, additional features would be nice and I'm confident they'll come. But the basic stuff (starting/monitoring appliances) is already very cool!

Tells me when the dryer has done and can remote control it from anywhere on the planet - I only have a dryer

Utterly rubbish. Wouldn't connect, kept losing connection to machine and server. Will contact Bosch and retailer to complain.

Stops at 30% of syncronization

Sms88ti26 connected to router but not connectet to the app on galaxy s5. Also not synchronisation with iphone 6.

I downloaded the app to use with my fridge..on first use I selected open with WhatsApp by mistake. Now everytime I refresh the picture it takes me to WhatsApp to send the picture. How can I stop it.

Ständiger Appabsturz beim Aufruf der Benachrichtigungseinstellungen.(kein Einzelfall!) Folgend erfordert es immer wieder die Neueingabe des Nutzer-Passwortes. ( Immer nach dem Aufruf von notification stürzt die App ab. Dies erfordert jedes Mal die erneute Eingabe der Nutzer-Passwortes. Was ist da los? Und übrigens, warum gibt es in der App eigentlich keine standardmaessige Spracheinstellung. Mein Androidsystem laeuft zwar in Englisch, die Home-Connect-App moechte ich allerdings in Deutsch nutzen. Bei vergleichbaren Apps(Sharp/Panasonic) funktioniert es umstandslos. Bitte um schnelle Korrektur und Hilfe. )

I have been waiting years for an appliance like this. But now I use it daily, I'm missing some functionality. The use of an app provides the possibility to add some usability functions. The most important would be the possibility to add 'presets' This would save me the trouble to repeat the same settings every day.

Using it on Bosch washing machine. Says it's connected but WiFi on machine but symbol continues to flash. App can't find machine. App update today,found machine but went past the login stage so didn't work. Advice please.

Impossible to get it working. Sometimes it finds the washing machine but that happens one out of ten. Fire your developers. They don't know how to write reliable software. Also uses 100MB on the phone. Unbelievable.

This could be useful, but notifications are very unreliable. It seems as though you need the app open, but even then they don't always work.

The only really useful feature "push notifications" (like washing machine is done) doesn't work as expected. The notifications only work if the app is active in the background. In addition: I want to have a look at the technical protocol specifications this so called "open" system. But so far I haven't been able to find them. Where can I download them?

Controls are too sensitive. For example if I try and set the oven temperature to 200 degrees when I lift my finger it changes to 201. Would be good to be able to add temperature and time preset buttons. UI for time settings needs improvement. See Google clock and timely for inspiration.

Sehr gut. Teure Waschmaschine gekauft und die App ist nicht mit dem Gerät kompatibel. Ist das etwa ein Scherz? (WM16YH840 von Siemens)

Schönes Design der App. Ofen lässt sich gut bedlinen und überwachen. Free mich auf weitere Geräte!
