NOTE:
─────
This app requires devices with a light sensor. It uses native light sensor data acquisition that gives accurate and instant light intensity reading. This type of native data acquisition is available for many supported devices.

Other devices are also supported by the built-in compatibility mode but the accuracy and the speed of light intensity reading may be limited and custom calibration is required for correct reading under compatibility mode.

Custom calibration procedures are described on the following page:

http://trajkovski.net/lmeter/support.html

Also, on some devices the light sensor may not be linear, not continuous and measuring errors will occur or the maximum measuring range may be limited. This is not app's fault.

This app also provides a light color temperature measurement in K (degrees Kelvin) that is only supported on devices with color light sensor. On all other devices the display shows n/a (not available).

Samsung S5 Active SM-G870W works great, including colour temperature measurement Samsung S2 SGH-T989D works great also, but the phone does not have a sensor to measure colour temperature. Note that the app uses the light sensor NOT the camera. The light sensor is ALWAYS on the same side of the phone as the screen. You cannot switch to the "other camera" and it is not a design flaw in the app. That is the way phones are made.

We live in a 2yo home and we are still choosing the lighting. We have this app in all our phones, I have a Samsung A5 2015 and she has an s7 edge. It is very useful to compare different lightings. Another reason to choose a 2014 samsung over a newer "specky" phone from google or others (knox is the first one). If pixel, nexus or bqs don't have color sensor don't blame this app!

Y70%
by Y####:

Not functional on LG phone. The camera auto adjusts to brightness and app has no control. The color temp is also inexplicably broken.

Y70%
by Y####:

This app would have got a 4-5 but it only uses the selfie cam, I need the rear facing cam to do the measures I need. So... IT NEEDS A CAMERA SWITCH to switch between front and back sensor.

N70%
by N####:

This app was great but know the color won't work on Google pixel XL . Just says N/A no matter if it is 6500k, 2800k or 5000k. Will change rating when it's fixed

С моей задачей полностью справился - надо было сравнить по яркости несколько ламп разного типа. Абсолютное значение люменов мне было по барабану. Значения при нескольких испытаниях полностью совпали.

This device does not use the camera, it use the light sensor on the front screen Very accurate

Could you put an option to display the results in Candela per Square metre? Many people are using your app to calibrate their Sony Android tv screen brightness output to a 100cd/m2 reference ( in the dark).

Y70%
by Y####:

This app uses the light sensors, not the camera! Not sure how accurate it is.

I70%
by I####:

It uses front sencor to sence light not the camera.

Y70%
by Y####:

its... nigh useless, but the fact that it uses the light meter of the phone is pretty cool, to have a use for the tool

Y70%
by Y####:

It don't use camera but the light sensor.

V70%

Utilizes selfie camera only? Cannot direct toward light source? Measures reflected light off you or what's behind not forward?

Z70%

On a Galaxy 6 edge, not accurate at all.

Borce, meni aplikacija ne pokazuje vrednost u Kelvinima, zašto?

Tells lamp color if phone has sensor, most do not. My S4 does

This app is a very useful tool if you take photos. I have used it along side my actual light meter and it compares well. If you need a light meter this app will serve you well

Z70%

I can't see how to switch this to use the camera on the back of the phone... It would certainly be more useful that way.

W70%
by W####:

I measured 4000K and 3000K lamps and this app shows little bit whatever the color temperature. Maybe excellent app but not for me this time.

O70%
by O####:

The app nicely reports the information from the light sensor / camera of the phone. Whether it is accurate or not depends on your hardware.

Needs a bit of updating but for the most part it's pretty much on the . Just a little off from my light o Metter

Z70%

After trying this app and some other apps, there are many apps with better functionality and UI. Example Light Reading Meter app performs and looks better

Z70%
by Z####:

..after the last update 2.3 it instantly crashes at start up. Cleaned up cache and data but no difference. Please fix! Galaxy Note 2 running Android 4.4.2 Edit: following developer's suggestion I uninstalled & reinstalled and works great again. AAA+

W70%
by W####:

Nice and simple AP for illumination that seems to track well with my actual light meter, but it does not appear to allow varying the precision to less than one whole lux or FC. That will work for indoor lighting, but is not precise enough for outdoor illumination.

Z70%
by Z####:

On S3 (4.4.4) cold light measurement is very inaccurate, shows only 2647k. Warm light temperature is ok. On my 8‘‘ tablet, the image is very big and colour temperature is not visible.

Z70%
by Z####:

Good app. Would give 5 stars if ads didn't try to trick you into clicking by covering the navigation bar ...

J70%
by J####:

The app is very simple and dynamic - loving it so far. It seems fairly accurate, but just to be sure I am going to compare it with other apps. Deserves better than the current rating, so I will give it 5 stars to balance it out
