It's amazing

I finally have access on my Android! Pretty accurate and diverse content. I have not tried the 'call an interpreter feature' so and updated review will come later :)

States that it is text only because of Internet issues, despite downloading the app moments earlier.

Doesn't work

Great help when on the floor and don't want to waste time finding a translator. Very very helpful - just need more phrases and a speak-and-translate option!

I don't like that app. Quiz and world of day to Spanish that is way. If your guys Spanish, blocked other languages and updates only it. And next one it is not translater, that is phrasebook. Please, change app name, and don't bother us downloaded...

Seems useful but when trying to create an account it gets stuck at the part to link to my institution's translator and doesn't advance.

Trying to create an account results in the message "Account creation failed. Please try again later." App cannot be used.

There is no abortion related vocabulary in this app-- not even inquiries about ob/gyn history. The app seems well designed but 1 in 3 people with a uterus will pursue abortion before they turn 40. It is important for health care providers to be able to communicate with patients about abortion.

Still could benefit from some of the common phrases used by the respiratory therapy department.

the Spanish language was great. The verbal vietnamese however is horrible. it's a robotic voice and noncomprehensible. Vietnamese is my native language and I couldn't understand anything it said. pts would have to read it

While I cannot speak for the quality of other translations, much of the chosen verbiage for statements in Mandarin Chinese may be too technical for patients of lesser education/socio-economic status, and the explainations meant for children could be too complex for patients under 12yo to understand. Simple body parts like "elbow" have become so convoluted/regionalized that some may not understand it. It also lacks Traditional characters, which can aid understanding when terms become this challenging.

You can only choose preset number of phrases

Only a handful of specialties. Only a handful of set phases within each specialty. Pretty much useless. Google translate is far, far better, with real time translation of both yours and the patient's speech both ways
