Moral Pals : Toby Steals

Children from a very young age are constantly learning new things every day. The books they read and games they play now will severely impact their continued growth and development. If they sit around playing games or listening to television that doesn't stimulate learning, that is a waste of precious time to positively continue their development. Not only that, but the content they absorb through games and television can adversely affect their morals, intellect, and judgement. Wouldn't you rather they stimulate their minds with good positive morals and learning?

STORY:
Toby Learns About Stealing
Toby and his friend Lulu go to the candy store to pick out a delicious treat. After realizing he doesn't have enough money for both his favorite treats, Toby decides to steal some. After talking with Lulu about how it hurts others, how he felt stealing, and the Holy Spirit urging him to do the right thing, Toby goes back to the store to return what he stole and apologize. Toby learns about the harm of stealing, and about trusting his conscience and the Holy Spirit for guidance.

GAME:
In this mini game, your child will learn to work with basic math skills. Mr. Howly will give you the total, and you must add up the correct amount of change to pay for your candy. Test your skills by racing the clock. What is the best score you can achieve?

We need more kids books that have Christian values and teach children morals. Our society appears to be moving further and further away from these morals and the teachings of Christ. Even amongst the Christian community, many fall away from Christ's teachings and into beliefs that support their preferred world view. My goal with this series of children's books is to re-instill those values and moral absolutes into the next generation. To give these kids an understanding and grounding to the values of Christ. To help them see morals played out in a story that gives context and an example for experiences they may have, or scenarios they may find themselves in. That way they know why they believe what they do, and why they hold on to those morals and values, rather than being told that they just should. The media and content children consume on a daily basis infiltrates their subconscious. So why not make it a positive learning experience to grasp their morals and values in a real way so when they experience it in life, they will be better prepared to handle it the right way.
