Vishnu is the supreme Lord, where Azhwars much-worshipped Lord Vishnu, Their divine hymns are popularly known as Nalayira Divya Prabantham, The Divya Prabantham is the form of adoration of deities of 108 temples (Divya Desams) .The shrines where the divine saints Azhwars have sung "Mangalaasaasanam" are called Divya Desams.
வைகுண்ட வாசனான இறைவன் நாராயணனின் மீது அளவற்ற பக்தி கொண்டு அவன் திருவடியை அடைந்த ஆழ்வார்கள் பன்னிருவர். அவர்கள் நற்றமிழால் பாடப்பெற்றவை நாலாயிரம் பாடல்கள் அடங்கிய திவ்ய பிரபந்தம். அத்தகைய நாலாயிர திவ்ய பிரபந்தம் என்னும் பதிகங்களில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ள திருத்தலங்களே திவ்யதேசம் ஆகும்.
Azhwars who said to be the hamsam (Incarnations) of Sriman Narayanan have dedicated their lives towards the Emperuman and they led their life by praising and doing Mangalasasanam on Sriman Narayananan. These Azhwars are 12 in number and out of which one is Sri Andal, who is a women. The Azhwars were born in various parts of our country but they were all united in a common subject that is praising the Lord Vishnu.
12 Azhwars names are following below:
01. Poigai Azhwar
02. Bhoodath Azhwar
03. Pei Azhwar
04. Thirumazhisai Azhwar
05. Nammazhwar
06. Madhurakavi Azhwar
07. Kulasekara Azhwar
08. Periyazhwar
09. Sri Andal
10. Thondaradippodi Azhwar
11. Thiruppaan Azhwar
12. Thirumangai Azhwar
There are 108 Divya Desam, and of these 105 are located in India and 1 in Nepal, the remaining two "Parama padam" and "Thiruppaarkadal" are in the celestial world.
The 106 Divya Desam are categorized based on kingdom:
Chozanaattu Thirupadhigal - 40
Nadunaattu Thirupadhigal - 2
Thondainaattu Thirupadhigal - 22
Malainaattu Thiupadhigal – 13
Paandiyanaattu Thirupathigal - 18
Vadanaattu Thirupadhigal - 11
The Azhwars got beautification by darshan the Lord Vishnu, if the pilgrims also follow the way by visiting the temple and do proper worship through meditation and trust on god, which will make the way to beautification it’s a simple belief without suspect. A devotee who worships all the 106 Divya Desam will be taken to the remaining 2 celestial Divya Desam by Lord Vishnu made along with him.
The common truth is saints will get glory by darshan the god, but when come to 108 Divya Desam the Lord Vishnu gets glory because of the saints and their dedication.
Our main motto is to make the our user to take a visit to all the 108 temples, which through them to get beautification. So make a vow to yourself to visit Divya Desams first around your home town and then expand your visits to other areas.
This App as a guide, provides the basic information of the location, details of the presiding deity, the Sthala purana, the pasurams sung by Azhwars, historical details and important festivals being conducted in each of these Divya Desams.

Divine app for devotees!. I already use your Om Tamil calendar and am very satisfied. Now I downloaded this. Few suggestions from my side - 1) please include an option to choose language like English and Hindi/Telugu ,cos, many more people can be benefited.I read that many Divya desams are in Kanchi/Villupuram/Chennai area, which are easily accessible to AP people. 2) I am sure many devotees would welcome your effort to include Jothir Lingas and Sakthi Peetams too. 3) You can suggest genuine stay areas for single woman travellers - can form fb group of devotees /volunteers who can offer guest rooms for people who can't afford high price for decent stay. hope you will consider my above said humble requests !! Many thanks and all the very best for your future apps
