Ao procurar a definição de musica na internet, o tema torna-se cada vez mais complexo a medida que nos aprofundamos nele. Porque? Porque a musica esta diretamente relacionada ao homem, ao ser humano e a sua necessidade constante de expressar o seu sentimento.

Para mim, musica é isso: a mais antiga forma de expressão do homem. Musica é diferente da comunicação em si. Ao se comunicar, o homem quer que a sua mensagem seja entendida pelo receptor. Na musica, o homem quer mais um pouco. Ele quer que o seu sentimento seja absorvido pelo receptor. A diferença está em sentir um fato e não apenas ter o conhecimento sobre ele.

Na musica o homem quer expressar o tamanho, o volume e a forma do seu sentimento. Através do som e dos silêncios entre eles, o homem constrói uma sensação. Esta sensação é transmitida muitas vezes sem palavras, e ao ser absorvida revela o quão mágico é o poder da música.

Desde os grunhidos tribais da pré-história até os grunhidos tribais do pós punk, o homem tem uma extensa e milenar historia construída. E esta história precisa ser contada.

A Lapaloop é uma radio que tem a curiosidade primeiramente de entender esta história e depois a vontade de reproduzi-la. A tarefa será impossível se tentarmos ser exatos, matemáticos, precisos. E para torna-la viável, vamos simplificar, seguir os nossos instintos e sensibilidade através da audição.

Qual seria a relação do sentimento daquela mulher negra, que nos 20, em meio a tantos problemas raciais, conseguia expressar a intimidade do seu sentimento “blues” sobre o seu homem para aqueles que quisessem ouvi-la, com a adolescente dos morros cariocas que registra sua inconformidade com o sexismo e o machismo do universo funk?

Qual a relação da abrangência da genialidade branca e clássica de um Mozart com a mais tribal expressão de tambores negros africanos, disseminado e absorvido pelo mundo todo da mesma forma?

Qual a relação do rock pesado com o samba, do jazz com o manguebeat, alternativos e pop, fácil, difícil, de qualquer nacionalidade, tempo ou cor?… Para entender a história do homem é preciso ouvir muitas histórias diferentes entre si. Mas que em comum sejam bem contadas. De forma agradável aos nossos ouvidos, a nossa mente, a nossa imaginação…

A Lapaloop quer isso, que você deleite o seu cérebro com a endorfina que a musica produz, que se emocione com a adrenalina da surpresa que “aquela” musica pode causar com sua chegada repentina aos seus ouvidos, Quer que você volte ao seu passado e visualize o seu futuro, abra a sua mente para o sentimento do outro e amplie o seu conhecimento sobre esta historia, a historia do homem, a sua historia.
